Twilighter β€” A couple strolls along a lakeside path at sunset while other walkers enjoy a warm late-May evening beneath a glowing twilight sky.

With πŸŽ–οΈ socialΒ summer πŸ‘·πŸ» approaching 🌞 actual summer πŸ”₯, my motion activated lights don’t get triggered until later in the evening. That’s fine, I’m still not going outside, especially if it’s hot…

Lighter πŸŒ‡ Later

Every sunset brings the promise of a new dawn. ~Ralph Waldo Emerson

Some people find it reassuring to have the sun up well into the evening.

It has its charm, to be sure.

It’s great if you’re on vacation and you want to maximize time at an amusement park or for backyard party games.

Personally, I like actual nighttime.

The dark. The moon. The cool breeze. The silence.

But that’s just me. I’ve always been a nightowl.

🎼 Twilight Tunes πŸŒ™

Found you some twilight tunes and some tunes from Twilight, because you literally can’t mention twilight without people thinking about sparkly vampires…

πŸŒ† Not Without Loveliness πŸŒ„

At twilight, nature is not without loveliness, though perhaps its chief use is to illustrate quotations from the poets. ~Oscar Wilde

I guess the nice thing about a later, lighter evening is that you can see the blossoming flowers, greening trees, wandering critters and scantily clad womenfolk.

Yes, I said it and I’m not taking it back.

My wife is my favorite scantily clad woman, so there.

If there is anything to be said for warmer weather is that it gets my wife wearing less.

😻 Talk about inspiration! 🀀

But on with the writing…

I was really hoping The Sentinels: Heartstrings would last until the end of May 2005.

As the title suggests, it’s highly focused and emotionally intense.

It makes sense for it to be short in terms of in-story time.

The next one is The Sentinels: Doing The Work and it gets us back on track for the timeframes already established for The Sentinels: Threat Matrix and The Sentinels: Aftershocks.

I’ve got 13 years of story mapped out between my ears. I have no lack of stories to write. Writer’s block is thoroughly not a thing.

What I have is a gap in my book-naming scheme. I’m lucky I came up with the six I have.

I guess the rest will come to me when I get past Aftershocks but that’s another half-million words down the road so no hurries and no worries.

That’s all for today. See you back on Wednesday for stormy 🌧️ romance…
