My name is Rob Knowlan and I am a self-publishing author. That sounds a bit shocking, I know, but bear with me.
After 20 years in the quiet and insufferably repressed world of Information Technology, I came to a terrible realization:
I hate Information Technology!!!
Fine time to figure that out, no? Well, better late than never. I’ll grudgingly do a bit of contract work for $250/hour at this point, but this site is all about my journey from employee to entrepreneurial author.
Sadly, there have been a couple of significant snags along the way that have made the trip a lot more bumpy than originally anticipated. I succumbed to critical burnout, had any number of orthopedic injuries (flat feet will get you every time) and even had a minivan fall on me.
Even so, I will discover and reveal to you what to do and what not to do. Join me on my journey down the yellow brick road and you can follow the steps I’ll be recording here.
