Hallowhen?
I used to look forward to Halloween. This year, I just wasn’t feeling it.
Too Pooped To Spook
Yeah, I had some errands and some chores to attend to today. I was feeling a bit worn out and unwell, so I actually slept through all of the Trick or Treating. My darling wife picked up the slack, as usual.
What’s Up With Halloween Anyway?
Some people are really into being scared and shocked and horrified. I don’t see the appeal in it.
I like the classic monster movies with Boris Karloff, Bela Lugosi and Lon Chaney Jr. I don’t need to see people dismembered or massive blood spatters in order to tell a story. It’s neat that they can make stuff look so realistic, but it’s also neat that the older movies could get the same effect with the mere suggestion of foul play.
I Need A Little Christmas
Some people are born for Halloween, and some are just counting the days until Christmas. ~Stephen Graham Jones
Truth be told, I’m just not feeling it today.
I usually enjoy the time leading up to Halloween. Planning costumes and taking the kids around for candy is a lot of fun, but for some reason, it wasn’t all that this year.
It hardly registered on my radar. I have some things I had wanted to get done before November kicked in and I didn’t get there. I’m actually pretty annoyed by it, which is probably why I couldn’t really enjoy the Halloween vibe this year.
Oh well, it’s gone and I largely missed it. That’s life, though, isn’t it?
November’s going to be an exciting month. Glad it’s finally here.
