Keeping Cool?

We’ve got a weekend-long heatwave going on. I’m staying inside as much as possible and if you’re in the affected area, I recommend you do as well.

Freakin’ Hot!

I don’t do well in hot weather under normal circumstances. With this wretched heatwave, I’m really having a hard time simply breathing.

I’ve got some new specialist appointments coming up next week. I should be seeing the audiologist on Monday to see about my sudden inability to hear reasonably important things. I can see Kelly’s mouth moving but the sounds don’t seem to hit my eardrums. Sure, it sounds like a husband’s dream come true but it’s just another sign of my rapid deterioration.

I will definitely be seeing the technician about an ultrasound next Friday. No, I’m not pregnant. I’ve been getting random swelling in my formerly sprained left ankle, foot and lower leg. Needless to say, that’s pretty disturbing and it needs to be looked into. Literally.

CelebriD&D

Today is a great day to stay inside and keep as cool as humanly possible. We’re experiencing a doozy of a heatwave this weekend and I don’t want to go anywhere or do anything. Assuming there’s AC available, it’s perfect D&D weather.

There are very few things in this world that are cooler than Terry Crews playing D&D

If you’re not a gaming geek like me, playing D&D may not be your go-to game but you can’t go wrong breaking out a deck of cards, a box of dominos or any number of classic board games. Monopoly, Risk, even Candyland are a great way to pass the time while the scorching sun makes going out a dreadful proposition.

⚙️💻 I, on the other hand, have tons of work to catch up on. 🔨⚙️

I deleted the old Christmas All The Time account from Google and made it a brand account under my own profile.  Having made the switch, it’s time to take the better videos from the previous channel, update them and post them on the new branding channel. There are some videos that won’t be getting back on the channel and I need to delete the posts associated with those.

I’m also working on some of my other sites. As those mature, I’ll start posting links and resources.

I’ve really been enjoying Enola‘s new book. The thing I’ve noticed is that hers has a lot more moving around.

Mine is heavy on the dialogue and not a lot of scene description. There are some scenes that can be fleshed out more. There is some meaningless banter that can be trimmed. Right now, I’m just trying to get back into the habit of writing.

Unfortunately, I’ve been remiss in my own writing lately and I need to remedy that.
