Look Before You Leap, Milord

Today is the tenth day of the Twelve Days of Christmas, which is “Ten Lords a’Leapin’ in the song. Well, January is no time for leaping if you don’t want to land on your tuchus due to ice.

Leap Of Faith

Take a leap of faith and begin this wondrous new year by believing. Believe in yourself. And believe that there is a loving Source – a Sower of Dreams – just waiting to be asked to help you make your dreams come true. ~Sarah Ban Breathnach

Yes, we’re off to a heady start in the year of 2026.

Sadly, I didn’t have Friday off. I would have loved to have leapt right into the weekend.

I’ll have to remember to look at the calendar for oddities like this next time around.

Also, we have leapt into 1Q26, so I no longer have Mondays off.

That’s fine. I’m basically done with this year’s Holiday Season Serial Romance and it’s time to focus more on work.

New seasons lead to new realities.

Case in point, I’ve recently had to toss ice-melt crystals down the stairs.

For me, this is a signal not to go outside.

Unfortunately, Kelly has to come and go.

She deserves better than to come home to a set of zero friction stairs.

Apparently 10 Actually Means 3 Today

The Tent’s 10 lords a leaping

Right, so I’m looking for a relevant video and it says “The Tent’s 10 lords a leaping” but there are only three.

Likewise with that header video, there are five lords but only the front three are leaping. From what I can see, the two in the back are sort of skipping.

Lords Of Chaos

I first heard of Ulver reading the ‘Lords of Chaos‘ book. ~Matt Skiba

Okay, that quote caught my attention because I was looking for one about lords.

I’m not especially interested in the topic of that book, but it could actually be instructive for writing my Sentinels and Tales Of Olde Auringia series.

Maybe I’ll check it out of the library sometime.

With only two episodes left before πŸ’‘πŸŽ„πŸŒŸ Goodness & Lights πŸŒŸπŸŽ„πŸ’‘ comes to an end, I’m looking forward to a ❄️ long Winters nap ❄️ before pivoting back to my other stories that are neither PG nor PG-13.

I also need to bookify The Lights of Pine Hollow and πŸ’‘πŸŽ„πŸŒŸ Goodness & Lights πŸŒŸπŸŽ„πŸ’‘ and get them up on KDP so I can get them printed to add to my bookshelf and to my live sales stock.

For now? I just want to leap into bed. πŸ›ŒπŸ»πŸ’€

That’s all for today. See you back on Wednesday to box up πŸŽ„πŸŽ…πŸ» Christmas πŸ”πŸ“¦
