National Cappuccino Day 2025

A chilly November Saturday is a marvelous opportunity to celebrate National Cappuccino Day. Brew that coffee. Froth that milk 🥛 and let’s get cozy...

Senna ☕ Schiuma

And there are those who prefer cappuccino, which in turn can be served in several varieties… Some want it scuro, with less milk, some want it chiaro, with more milk, and some prefer the foam, senna schiuma … ~Sari Gilbert

Heck yeah! Let’s wake up to a nice frothy cappuccino.

I’ve had a very long, fairly hard week, and it’s time for something soft, sweet and frothy.

I know you thought I was going to make some kind of double entendre about what I’d like to do with Kelly, but I’m not awake enough to make that happen. 😏

What am I up to in my free time?

C’mon, y’all. You already know the answer to that…

After almost two weeks out of commission, I’m working fast and furiously on this year’s Holiday Season Serial Romance.

I’m 34% done with 💡🎄🌟 Goodness & Lights 🌟🎄💡 and it’s coming along rather nicely, if I do say so myself.

There’s emotional strife, church family, a probationary superhero, Eggnog Zappuccino, Marines, mailmen, Isidore, a cute baby and a GIGANTIC 💣 BOMB

Really, Rob? A heartwarming Christmas story with a gigantic bomb?

Yeah! Wait ’til you see it!

This morning, we’re focused on cappuccino which also happens to be da 💣 bomb

Cuppa ☕ What?

The Cappuccino Explained

Imagine my surprise to find that cappuccinos originated in Austria rather than Italy.

The froth with the espresso edge was intended to resemble a monk’s tonsure and the mix of frothed cream and coffee gives it an overall color meant to match the monks’ robes.

An ecumenical treat that will wake you up gently. How can you go wrong?

As the young lady below explains, the difference between a cappuccino and a latte is the amount and arrangement of the milk in the beverage.

Watch as she explains.

☕ Sitting Here Sipping ☕

The simple act of sitting here sipping this cappuccino is its own testament to my commitment to living the writer’s life. Which is to say: doing nothing but doing it exceedingly well. ~Sol Luckman

Yes, it certainly looks like I’m sitting around doing nothing.

Sometimes, I actually am.

Most times, when it looks like I’m doing nothing, there’s a full screenplay and symphony playing out in my head.

I’ve been blessed with an internal holodeck.

It could be say that you’ve been blessed by the fact that I feel compelled to share what goes on in my holodeck.

Well, some of it anyway. There are many cases in which what happens in the holodeck needs to stay in the holodeck.

Of course, that’s mostly because some of that is akin to those weirdos who make “art” by throwing buckets of paint into the exhaust stream of their personal jet planes to make splatter paintings.

If, like me, you don’t happen to own a personal jet plane, you can reach back into the 70s and buy yourself a Spin Art set from Amazon.

Some of my internal musings can be akin to a Spin Art machine, but mostly it’s more cinematic.

Why?

Because I had a TV in my room and a deep desire not to go outside where the sunburn, poison ivy, bugs, impolite children, traffic and a host of other unpleasant calamities awaited.

Feh!

I still don’t like to go out very much, but when I do I prefer for it to be like it is lately.

Wow, 🍂Autumn🍂 is in full gear and the temperatures are absolutely perfect to make the dreaded ventures outside actually tolerable.

God willing, it will stay that way until at least next March. Maybe April if I’m any kind of lucky…

That’s all for today. See you back on Wednesday for some luscious French Dip…
