National Vanilla Ice Cream Day 2025

This Hump 🐪 Day is peak of the week in the form of Vanilla Ice Cream Day. Some people dismiss vanilla as a plain, meaningless almost non-flavor, but I find it to be…

🍦 Foundational 🍦

When I’m on a strict eating regimen, at some point I have to have French fries, a cheeseburger and some pizza. And Oreos and vanilla ice cream! ~Ciara

Vanilla ice cream is the ultimate platform for all other desserts.

You can have a simple bowl of vanilla ice cream, but you can add fruit, nuts, some kind of syrup, maybe some sprinkles or pulverized nuts and a giant stripe of whipped cream and it becomes a completely new thing.

We have majority vanilla flavors such as cherry vanilla, chocolate chip cookie dough, fudge ripple and many others. It’s vanilla ice cream with the extras included.

If you go to the Turkey Hill Experience, you’ll find that they give you a serving of vanilla ice cream and teach you how to add the flavor additives to create a splendid ice cream of your own creation.

If you’re wondering, the ice cream I created and happily devoured was a Blueberry Cheesecake creation.

I added 30 drops of coconut to the vanilla base, graham cracker crumbs and waffle cone bits. I added the cream cheese and blueberry additives to create a phenomenal experience.

Frankly, I’d buy this stuff by the pint. TBT, it would be so cool to be able to “Ice Cream on Demand” and have a production line set up where they can create my stuff and sell it to me pint by pint or even by the gallon. Eventually, they’ll figure out how to do that in a profitable way. If you can do it for books, you can do it for ice cream. I have no doubt.

🍦 Which Is Best? 🍦

What’s the Best Vanilla Ice Cream at the Supermarket?

That’s actually a very good question.

Some vanilla is vanilla in the worst possible connotation of the term and some is extraordinary.

I’m a fan of the pristinely white vanilla with the little vanilla bean specks.

I don’t know if the flecks of vanilla apparent in the ice cream actually add that little extra flavor or if it’s subliminal programming, but this is my favorite variation.

There’s a golden vanilla. I’ve had it. It’s rich and delicious, but I still prefer the uber-white kind with the flecks in it.

As far as brands go? I’m not really picky. I’ll happily grab whatever’s on the shelf because I’m just going to add toppings anyway.

🍦 Basic 🍦

Love ice cream. I let myself have that about once a week. Vanilla. ~Tim Tebow

Who doesn’t like an occasional treat? Of course, occasional is highly subjective.

A football player like Tim would need to keep it to once a week in order to stay in playing condition.

Someone whose primary form of exercise is typing at high speeds can consider occasional to be once a day or even once per meal.

Sure, since that sort of person doesn’t get up and burn off the calories, so occasional really ought to be maybe once per month.

Even so, a person like that is burning brain cells like crazy, so the aforementioned treat is actually needed more often than not.

It’s Hump 🐪 Day and you’re working hard, so go ahead and treat yourself. 🍦

Speaking of treats, I enjoyed a 4-day weekend and pushed through into Chapter 63.

Things are getting spicy, so I’ll keep on chugging away until the series is complete.

That’s all for today. See you back on Saturday for coffee milkshakes
