Small Business Saturday 2025
To continue the Christmas shopping ποΈ bonanza, today is Small Business Saturday. Support your local small businesses and find some custom treasures for your gift recipients.
Entrepreneurial

Whether it’s a Mom & Pop shop, someone’s personal passion project or a local artist, small businesses are the heart of America.
Everyone loves the convenience of a big box store, but when you want quality custom products it’s best to give your business to a local entrepreneur.
In fact, we got some awesome presents from Two Raccoons Forge, who we found over at Yenser’s Tree Farm.
Look around and you’ll find some marvelous little shops to help fulfill your Christmas list.

The Real Reason Small Shops Feel Different on Black Friday
One of the major advantages of shopping in a small business is that you’re going to be able to ask questions and the person will actually know the answer.
A big box employee might be able to help you find which aisle has what you’re looking for, but they’re not as likely to know the finer points of the inventory.
On the other hand, in a small business, the staff are all about the products and can fill you in on the details.
We’ve been to some craft fairs lately in which many families and singleton entrepreneurs display their handcrafted wares.
Check out the video below for some ideas of how you could join them, if you had an itch to start a business of your own.

Sales
Sales cure all. Know how your business will make money and how you will actually sell your product. ~Mark Cuban
That’s the bottom line of business. You’re supposed to make money.
I’m not there yet.
I’m a bit too busy with my day job to figure out the nuances of the publishing business, finish my books or finish formatting the books I’ve finished.
That’s the word for 2025: busy.
I’ve been busily working away this weekend setting up the episodes of π‘ππ Goodness & Lights πππ‘ over on Christmas All The Time.
I’m scheduled up to 12/7 and have many more chapters written, but I’m going to have to wrestle with my AI trying to get story-compliant image for each and every one of the 16 remaining episodes that I have written and also taking the time to finish up the 12 episodes I haven’t written and the Outro page for Epiphany.
I’m busy.
That’s all for today. See you back on Wednesday to thwart porch pirates…
