National Bubble Bath Day 2025

No, I am NOT turning in my [Man Card], ๐Ÿ˜’ because today is National Bubble Bath Day and, frankly, EVERY DAY should be Bubble Bath Day.

๐Ÿ•ฏ๏ธ๐Ÿ›Œ๐Ÿป Good Sleep, A Bath And A Glass Of Wine ๐Ÿ›€๐Ÿป๐Ÿท

Sorrow can be alleviated by good sleep, a bath and a glass of wine. ~Thomas Aquinas

Okay, I’ll pass on the wine, but โ˜• cocoa is always a good substitute if you have a mind for luxury and relaxation.

Saint Thomas was a member of the clergy, so the aforementioned cure for sorrow was the best he could manage.

I have the good fortune to be married to a marvelous, supportive, beautiful (inside & out) wife.

The alleviation of sorrow is best accomplished spending time with one’s other half.

Apart from that, a jolly good bubble bath is the next best thing.

Don’t judge me. We didn’t get a shower until I had grown accustomed to only having a spectacular claw-foot iron tub.

It was practically a swimming pool when I was little, and it continued to be a comforting, quiet place to soak the stress out of my system.

In the Air Force and at college, there was only the utilitarian use of showers. Not a tub to be had, and I didn’t realize how good I had it until then.

So, as much as some people would denigrate my masculinity for it, I will continue to enjoy a nice, hot soaking tub without a care.

Honestly, you have to do the whole thing. I wouldn’t say my bath culture is anywhere near that of the Japanese, but I can appreciate their enthusiasm for a proper bathtub.

This video article seems to get it.

Bubble baths are about more than getting clean. It’s about relaxation and stress relief.

As much as it soothes sore muscles and dry skin, it also soothes the mind.

Tips and Tricks – Bubble Bath

I’m perfectly happy with Mr. Bubble or Dr. Teal’s, but you never know when you’ll find a decent recipe for DIY bubble bath soap.

I’m sure it would make a lovely personalized gift for Christmas, a birthday or just to show someone (like me) that you care.

Certainly, one can stand in a shower and let the hot water massage neck and shoulders for a bit of relief, but it’s nowhere near as relaxing as just letting the buoyancy of the bath support you as it soaks the discomfort away.

The Benefits of a Hot Bath

I didn’t know about some of the benefits that he mentions.

I knew it was marvelous and relaxing but who knew it enhanced immunity and helped balance insulin levels?

I kind of wish I could work from my tub sometimes. I’m sure my colleagues would be confused by the splashing sounds, but it would be worth it. Unfortunately, computers and tubs are not a winning combination. Well, not yet anyway…

Right now I’m just delighted to be alive and to have had a nice long bath. ~Richard Branson

So, there’s a lull between the end of this year’s Holiday Season Serial Romance and the publication of the corresponding paperback.

Why?

Because I’m tired!

I was up all hours of the night writing episodes on a daily basis throughout the holiday season. I’m freaking tired.

I could have pushed through and formatted the book on Sunday the 5th, but I didn’t want to. It’s not crucial that I have the paperback ready for Epiphany.

It’s a nice-to-have. I do it for the benefit of people who prefer to read the entire story end to end without having to tab between webisodes.

So, as I’ve mentioned previously, I’m not taking a deliberate break from writing this month. Will I take an inadvertent break from writing this month? I hope not.

What I am prioritizing, after the paperback is up, will be to plan this year’s monthly articles on Christmas All The Time.

I must admit that I’m absolutely itching to get back to The Sentinels, but I have some work stuff to catch up on so my writing time isn’t bogged down with a sense of guilt over what’s outstanding.

Along with the return to our intrepid superheroes, I need to get the novels’ waypoints set so I can plan out the tangential stories in the Collateral Impact story anthologies.

Lots to do this year, so I need to take a nice soakyย ๐Ÿ›€๐Ÿป bath, get some deep restorative sleep in a โ„๏ธ long Winters nap โ„๏ธ and get on with getting on.

That’s all for today. I’ll see you on Saturday for something my son is sadly intolerant of, but I enjoy tremendously.
