National Irish Coffee Day 2025
Even though I basically never drink cocktails, today is National Irish Coffee Day and I’m totally here for it.
☘️☕ At Large
Only Irish coffee provides in a single glass all four essential food groups: alcohol, caffeine, sugar, and fat. ~Alex Levine
Except for a brief stint in college, I’ve never been much of a drinker.
Of the few things I did indulge in was a lovely Irish Coffee.
We’ll see below how it’s a whole thing, but a lot of people just add a splash of Bailey’s to their coffee and call it official.
I’m not one to quibble about such things since the closest I typically get to it is the Monster Irish Cream Coffee energy drink.
☘️☕ At Home
How To Make Irish Coffee At Home (A Simple Recipe)
Since I’m not that much of a drinker, I didn’t know about the butter in the recipe.
Sounds pretty nice, actually. Wonder if I can get a mocktail version somewhere?
It’s nice that people publish how-to videos like this.
It’s good to share your passions with people.
For me, that’s writing.
Being ☘️ Irish
Being Irish, I always had this love of words. ~Kenneth Branagh
Generally, that’s true. Unfortunately, I’m really beat.
I have few to no words to share. I’m just worn out from work today.
It’s a lot lately and I’m looking forward to reestablishing a more favorable work / life balance.
I doubt that Irish Coffee or any other cocktail would do much to help that and I’m not about to try to find out.
It’s true that people of Irish ancestry tend to have the gift of gab.
I’ve channeled mine into the pursuit of fiction writing. You can sample that at my Holiday Season Serial Romances hub.
That’s all for today. Whether you like a little Bailey’s in your coffee or if you do the whole cocktail, it’s still a cheerful respite from winter’s bitter cold. I’ll see you on Wednesday for an engaging pastime.
