All In The Family

The kids are on their way back to school and today was our last day for everyone under one roof for a while.

Emotionally Flabby

Certain people in the house have difficulty expressing themselves appropriately and meaningfully. Even though they think it’s “pointless” to learn how to do this, they’re wrong (as they are about so very many other things).

We all need help from time to time. I’ve been there. Others in the house have been there. It’s okay to need help. It’s even better to get help.

However, in order to get help, you have to be invested in the process. Our reluctant victim hasn’t really joined in with the spirit of things. Oh well, we’re not going to stop working on it until some progress has been made. Too darned bad!

Never apologize for showing feeling. When you do so, you apologize for the truth. ~Benjamin Disraeli

Ewwww, Summer

I was playing around with my video editor today. I figured I’d start putting my own videos in here instead of finding random videos on YouTube to include.

I’ve got some more hurdles to hop, medically speaking. Tomorrow, I’m seeing the otolaryngologist due to my hearing loss. Apparently, there’s some possibility that measles (never had them, thank goodness) or ear infections (I had at least one that required ear drops when I was a kid) could impact the sort of hearing loss that I’m experiencing. We’ll see how it goes.

I’m also working through a course of meds with the intention of finally resolving this miserable costochondritis. Should take a month to get through all that. Hopefully, it finally goes away.

Irons In The Fire

Between trips to the various doctors and the kids’ activities, I’ve been working on a couple of my sites. I also got a few more scenes done in the Sentinels novel. Once we get settled back down into back-to-school mode, I’ll have even more time to get things squared away on my various sites.

I’ve got some technical considerations on a few of the sites. The rest just need some creativity and elbow grease. No worries, I’ll get there.

Tomorrow, we’re taking Connor back to college so he can help the other students check into their dorm rooms. For now, I’m just drowning in my own sweat and wishing dearly that it was Autumn…
