Christmas In March

Only 275 days until Christmas!

Too soon? Well, after last week’s nor’easter it looks a lot more like Christmas than it does Easter.

Problems

Idealism increases in direct proportion to one’s distance from the problem. ~John Galsworthy

Isn’t it funny how when you set out to do something, you’re blithely unaware of all the possible things that can go wrong? Your idea of how things will go, regardless of planning and reassurances from those who’ve been there and done that, almost never matches the actual results. Ain’t it grand?

No, I didn’t think so either. All the same, one must persist and complete the project regardless of interference, issues, mistakes, disasters and shortcomings of all kinds. If you do what you do to the best of your ability, something is bound to come of it. Just keep on keeping on.

Dreams

There is nothing like a dream to create the future. ~Victor Hugo

The thing about dreams is that they give you something to hang your hopes on. Even if you can’t count on anybody but yourself, your dreams give you something to keep aiming for. Dreams are what made some of the most incredible inventions of the last century or two possible. Edison found thousands of ways not to make a lightbulb, but because of his ability to dream and see the future we have lightbulbs. Dreams put men on the moon and a Tesla in orbit. Dreams will create memorable tales and earth-shaking movements. Hold on to your dreams and continue envisioning a better tomorrow.

Okay, it’s not really Christmas but it is the 25th. March is almost over and so is Lent. Next week, it’s time for egg hunts and a candy overload second only to Halloween.
