Connor Is 21!

My sweet, talented, hard-working son has also become fully legal. It’s a big step but he has taken it with grace and style, as usual.

He’s Legal And He’s Moral

God gave us the gift of life; it is up to us to give ourselves the gift of living well. ~Voltaire

My son, Connor, is a singularly amazing individual. Not only is he an honor student, an award-winning actor, Eagle Scout, third-degree black belt and all-around fantastic guy, but he’s an avid comic books fan. So, what do you get such a marvelous person for his birthday?

Sure, they said “Josh” but they meant “Connor“!

So, you get the man what he wants:

  • He wanted to be picked up so he could move out of his college apartment for the summer!
  • He wanted to stop at the comic book store on the way home!
  • He wanted Taco Bell for lunch!
  • He wanted Chinese food for supper!

And particularly…

  • He wants to never have to drink crappy booze in a dive bar, ever again!

Yes, sir. He’s a man of simple needs and refined tastes. Is it any wonder everybody loves him so much?

Mother’s Day

Another marvelous thing about Connor is that he happens to have been born on Mother’s Day. Can you possibly imagine a better gift for a loving, caring mother than a sweet, beautiful baby boy?

We’ve got the family coming over for Connor’s cake but the occasion will double as a Mother’s Day visit.

The Conclave

I like flawed characters, and I like seeing people who are supposed to be not villains but antagonists. There are elements to them, which are really annoying, but you kind of see where they came from. You see the things that caused those inadequacies. ~Taika Waititi

The Sentinels have been monopolizing the book thus far but the villains are starting to push their way to the forefront. The cabal of evil wizards has begun plotting to ruin the heroes.

Now that I’ve fictionalized New York City into Empire City, it’s a bit easier to assign each of the wizards in the group to each of the eight boroughs and find them a potential lair.

So, today is a fantastic day, my friends. My son is home for the summer and my daughter will be here tomorrow as well. That’s a happy, happy holiday as far as I’m concerned.
