Cow Milked While Flying In An Airplane Day
As completely random technological advances go, this one kind of takes the cake and delivers fresh milk to wash it down with.
Proof Of Concept
If something’s important enough, you should try. Even if – the probable outcome is failure. ~Elon Musk

Sometimes, we do things just to see if they can be done.
Sometimes those things not only work out, but they combine all the best aspects of progress. In the case of this odd historical incident, they wanted to see what effect flight would have on a cow’s capacity to produce milk. It had never been done and they wanted to know. So, while testing this concern scientifically, they added some marketing hype. A cow was chosen for her high milk production capacity. She was milked during a 72 mile flight between two points in Missouri. They put the milk in paper cartons and parachuted them to spectators below. The intended points were:

Doing something to see if it can be done is how we make progress.
Sometimes you crash and burn. Fortunately for Claude Sterling, Elsworth Bunce and Nellie 🐄 Jay, they didn’t.
Sometimes you learn what the possibilities are.
Most times you get a “qualified success“, meaning that you have some good results and some changes to make.

That’s my week in a nutshell. I’m tired now, and very relieved for it to be the weekend.
Weekend Chill
Saturday Morning Jazz: Spring Jazz & Bossa Nova February for a relaxing weekend
So, it’s finally the weekend and I need to recover from another busy week. What am I going to do?
No idea.
That’s fine. I need to just take some time and not do anything in particular.
I need to catch up on some household chores and get away from my keyboard for a bit.
Contentment For Better Writing
At least in my case, a very simple, regular, happy life makes for better writing. ~Lauren Groff
Agreed, 100%.
I cannot write if I am incapacitated by a work coma, stunned by an exhausting work day or frustrated by chaos of a personal nature.
It’s hard to be constructive when you’re bombarded by destructive forces.
More efficient writing comes from entering a flow state, but achieving this state depends on some semblance of safety and comfort.
I’m craving a great writing session, but I’m having difficulty getting to the state of comfortable equilibrium that I require.
I guess we’ll see if I can get enough sleep and inner peace to get back to my writing this weekend.
That’s all for now. I hope you’re having a lovely weekend. Drink your milk whether it was parachuted to you or not.
