Delicious Autumn!

Oh, the glorious sensations of πŸ‚ Autumn πŸ‚! Could life actually be any better?

Wedded

Delicious autumn! My very soul is wedded to it, and if I were a bird I would fly about the earth seeking the successive autumns. ~George Eliot

Yeah, that’s me in a nutshell.

I got a lovely night’s sleep last night. Sleeping is so much easier when the weather is clement and there’s no friction between my lovely wife and myself.Β A lot of the contention between us has been resolved recently, thank goodness.

I’m so happy that we can use the oven again. There are a lot more options of what to make for supper when you can use the oven. Add to that a plethora of wonderful seasonal squash and we’re in cooking heaven.

We’ll be doing some work on Allan’s Eagle project this weekend. That should be good fun.

VIVALDI “The Four Seasons” – Autumn

Nothing says Autumn like Vivaldi’s “The Four Seasons” Autumn (Concerto No. 3 in F Major). I hope you enjoy the presentation of Autumn images the video creator put with the music.

Something I didn’t know before was that Antonio Vivaldi wrote a set of poems to go with the concerti. The one for Autumn is as follows:

πŸ‚ Autumn (Concerto No. 3 in F Major)Β πŸ‚
Allegro
The peasant celebrates with dancing and singing
The pleasure of the rich harvest,
And full of the liquor of Bacchus
They end their merrymaking with a sleep.

Adagio molto
All are made to leave off dancing and singing
By the air which, now mild, gives pleasure
And by the season, which invites many
To find their pleasure in a sweet sleep.

Allegro
The hunters set out at dawn, off to the hunt,
With horns and guns and dogs they venture out.
The beast flees and they are close on its trail.

Already terrified and wearied by the great noise
Of the guns and dogs, and wounded as well
It tries feebly to escape, but is bested and dies.

The time will pass anyway…

Don’t let the fear of the time it will take to accomplish something stand in the way of your doing it. The time will pass anyway; we might just as well put that passing time to the best possible use. ~Earl Nightingale

I’m not getting any younger and it’s certainly high time to focus on some tasks that have shifted over the last few weeks.

First among them is getting on with this year’s Holiday Season Serial Romance. Brock, Trilby and Aundrea aren’t getting any younger, either.

Right behind them is the matter of picking an imprint name for the publishing company which will be the home of my three fictional milieux. I was considering The Fog of Before but I’ve decided to use that as the title of next year’s Holiday Season Serial Romance instead. From what I’ve seen, the whole matter of starting a business seems a bit chicken and egg.

You need to pick a name and check to ensure it’s not already in use by someone else. Once you’ve got one that’s not in use, you need to pay to register it. The thing is, who pays? You need to keep a separation between personal and business expenses but you can’t pay for stuff with a business account until you have your EIN and you can’t get an EIN until you’ve paid to register your business. πŸ”Β πŸ€” πŸ₯š See what I mean?

That puzzle will have to wait until I’ve done a bit more research and that won’t occur until after we’ve gone over for Allan’s project work.

Patience is a virtue…

That’s all for today. I hope you’re having a tasty, restful and relaxing weekend.
