Harvest Bounty Weekend

Harvest Bounty Weekend

I had a hankering for some squash dishes, so this weekend is all about harvest bounty goodness.

So, I’ve been patiently waiting for ๐Ÿ‚ Autumn ๐Ÿ‚ to be ๐Ÿ‚ Autumn ๐Ÿ‚ and it’s finally here again! ๐ŸŽƒย To celebrate, I bought different kinds of squash for some proper harvest dinners.

Kelly made her famous Spaghetti Squash Casserole the other night at my request. It’s been a while since she made that for us and it was a long-awaited treat.ย Tonight, we’re having Stuffed Acorn Squash because…well, I feel like it! ๐Ÿง Tomorrow, it’s Butternut Squash with Roasted Vegetables.ย

I just love ๐Ÿ‚ Autumn ๐Ÿ‚!

Just the same, the important thing to remember is that optimism is just as often paid off as pessimism. You go the direction you’re looking.

If you think the world is ๐Ÿ’ฉ, that’s what you’ll experience. If you think the world is wonderful, you may sometimes be disappointed but you’ll be more attuned to how great things really are. I recommend optimism over pessimism in most cases.

๐ŸŽผStuck In My Head๐ŸŽถ

All week long, I’ve had this stuck in my head. I figured I’d share it with you so it can get stuck in your head now, too.

๐Ÿฆ‡Doesn’t Do What You Planned๐Ÿฆ‡

Just because something doesn’t do what you planned it to do doesn’t mean it’s useless. ~Thomas A. Edison

๐Ÿฆ‡๐Ÿฆ‡๐Ÿฆ‡ Maybe not, but there’s a really good chance it was driving you bats! ๐Ÿฆ‡๐Ÿฆ‡๐Ÿฆ‡

I had this thing I was working on that just wouldn’t get fixed. I’m pretty sure I got it licked Friday afternoon but I’m still waiting to hear the final verdict on it.

Some stuff is just complicated and you need to be patient and try to get it to behave. On the other hand, some stuff is a no-brainer and you can fix it without much effort at all.

Life is all about variety. Some stuff is nigh-impossible and some stuff you can practically do in your sleep. It’s the variety that keeps it interesting and the variable difficulty that keeps it challenging. If everything was easy, it would get pretty boring pretty quickly.

That’s the haps for this weekend. I hope you’re enjoying the glorious weather, sights and flavors of ๐Ÿ‚ Autumn ๐Ÿ‚ like I am!
