Here Comes the Boom
Happy stormy Hump 🐪 Day, it’s a regular part of summer for us to see storms come and go, but our pets are a bit more sensitive. If you’ve got fireworks or storms or neighbors shooting guns or cannons (yes, that’s a thing in my neck of the woods) the fuzzies can get pretty scared. There are a number of products designed to address that such as weighted blankets or soothing chews. Take care of your four-footed friends, they don’t understand…
Thunder and Lightning

Nothing is entirely good or entirely bad.
A storm sweeping through can be pretty overwhelming and can cause property damage.
On the other hand, this tends to clean up the summer heat for a while.
It’s scary and loud, but it’s soothing after it passes.
Likewise, a storm can knock out the power, giving you the afternoon off from work.
Unfortunately, it also gives you the afternoon off from air conditioning.
Everything has a tradeoff.

The staggering power of a summer storm can truly humble us.
It’s shocking that an overgrown cloud can bring winds, obliterate trees, bring an unfortunate end to unwary golfers.
Sad but true.
We can’t match energy of that scale, but if anything comes close, it’s my beloved B-52.
This plane is so stupidly overpowered, it’s not even funny.

The important thing to remember in adversity is that God is bigger than whatever you’re facing.
I find a lot of solace in that idea.
In the most turbulent times, I know there’s a sunny day waiting on the other side.
