May Get Ugly

As we approach the end of the month, a lot of stress is piling on. More’s the pity because I have a lot of difficulty dealing with stress.

Lots Of Appointments

I’ve been slogging through the process of getting my various ailments resolved.

I’ve got an appointment today to get my sleep study done so I can find out if I need a breathing aid while sleeping (probably so). Whenever that gets done, I’ll be one step closer to (possibly) getting a decent night’s sleep. With any luck, the results will also afford my darling wife a decent night’s sleep without me snoring.

I’m also waiting to be seen by the orthopedic specialist who helped me out with my tibial tendonitis early last year. My left ankle has been swelling up like a balloon at random intervals for no discernable reason. The PA was concerned that it might be a sign of blood clots. Fortunately, an ultrasound showed this was not the case.

Unfortunately, the costochondritis is something that simply needs to be endured until it resolves itself.

Between the dreadful chest pain that comes with costochondritis and the recurring discomfort in my left ankle, it’s really difficult to…

Get A Job!

The last couple of years, I’ve been doing factory and warehouse work that require 12-hour shifts on foot. Based on my current symptoms, it just ain’t gonna happen.

Unfortunately, my tax return money ran out in April and things are getting tight. I had hoped to be sufficiently recuperated by this point but everything still hurts. As such, I’ll be looking for a suitable work-from-home opportunity.

I’ve included the video above to help you if you’re in a similar bind or are just looking to ditch your commute.

Little By Little

Nothing can be done except little by little. ~Charles Baudelaire

I sometimes tend to get mired in the details as I’m writing. Most of the time it just flows as if I’m watching a movie and recording what I’m seeing. Sometimes it goes in a direction that I simply haven’t the words or personal experience to describe.

Chapter 8 is slogging along because I’m in fairly unfamiliar territory.

The principal villains of the first novel in the series are a cabal of oligarchs who preserve their unnaturally long lives with what they perceive to be black magic. They made a peripheral appearance in a previous chapter.

In this chapter, we’re dealing with them in the light of day. They’re going about their upper-crusty lives. I’m just leaving some placeholders in the story so I can come back on the editing phase and really paint the picture of how these crusty old evil-doers conduct themselves between ceremonies.

My body keeps reminding me that I’m in no condition to get stressed, but even that is pretty stressful. I hope you’re enjoying your weekend more than I am.
