National Dance Like a Chicken Day 2025

While there’s never a bad time to do The πŸ” Dance, today (of all days) is National Dance Like a Chicken Day.

Live like you’ll die tomorrow, work like you don’t need the money, and dance like nobody’s watching. ~Bob Fosse

The πŸ” Dance figures prominently in Pennsylvania weddings, including my own.

It’s a fun song, a fun dance and a laugh riot. It’s silly and you can’t fail to enjoy it.

Fortunately, Polka Joe puts it on the Magic Polka Machine fairly frequently.

That’s another thing. Polka Joe’s show every Sunday from 10am to 1pm is inherently fun.

I realize it’s Wednesday and we’re all hip deep in work, but think seriously about letting yourself have some fun.

Wurstfest – How to Chicken Dance

If you didn’t know how before, here’s your opportunity to learn.

It’s simple. It’s fun. Once you learn it, it’s with you forever.

All good things are like that. Gee, what do you mean, Rob?

It’s been a while since I stuck that in here.

It’s as true today as the first time I put it in.

I think I can attribute at least part of our marital success to The πŸ” Dance.

It’s like marriage insurance. If you’re fun enough to participate in The πŸ” Dance at your wedding, you’re probably fun enough to partner up for life.

It’s working for us so far, so I’ll call it a valid theory.

πŸ” Involvement And Commitment 🐷

The difference between involvement and commitment is like ham and eggs. The chicken is involved; the pig is committed. ~Martina Navratilova

I’m sure I had a clever point to make when I picked that quotable quote, but I currently do not.

I’m happy to announce I’ve completed Chapter 58 of The Sentinels: New Blood and that’s basically it. It’s been a very long week already and likely to continue to be so.

I literally have nothing more to say here, so you could say I’m involved in this case.

That I got this far in my current state shows some serious commitment overall.

That’s all for today. See you back on Saturday for a sweet πŸ’ treat
