I think it’s fair to say that if Kelly didn’t know how old she was, she’d easily be in her 20s.
You’ve never met such a jolly, joyous, whimsical character in your life.
She’s got energy for days and her Nana’s restless knack for cleaning up.
Kelly is the embodiment of constructive femininity, a post-modern hausfrau of the highest order.
In case you haven’t gotten the idea yet, I like her…a lot.
It is my distinct privilege to be married to such a fun, sweet, beautiful woman.
I appreciate her and enjoy her company more and more with every passing year. So…

This year, as usual, the birthday request is for chocolate cake with chocolate icing. So, that is what she shall have.
She’s taking the day off from work, but that doesn’t mean she’ll be idle. She’s only still when she’s asleep.
At the very least, she’ll get to spend some time playing with Rose. Not sure what else she has planned today, but it’s her birthday so whatever she says goes.

Sounds like a good definition for parenting, too. If that’s the case, then Kelly is a Master of the art.
Even with the kids all grown and mostly on their own ways, she still does a fantastic job of keeping everyone on the same page and maintaining as much harmony as can be reasonably expected.
For my part, I just try to bring in and manage the money so Kelly has a firm foundation to rest the family on.
Things are going reasonably well at work. Unfortunately, I had to take a sick day yesterday. Felt like I was getting worked over by a crew armed with rubber mallets.
My head was in quite a state and my body was ridiculously achy. Hopefully, today will be better. I have lots to do and no time to do it.
I’ve been running back through my previous Holiday Season Serial Romances for a couple of reasons.
Primarily, I wanted to get my head back in the space of writing one of my RomComs. I’ll need to soon get started on The Lights of Pine Hollow and it takes a moment to get into the correct headspace.
Another reason to review the existing books was to gather up some of the incidental details that have been included in those stories.
I need to improve the “Worldbuilding Bible” for my Sentinelsverse milieu. This is as much for my own reference as it is to provide fan content on SentinelsStation.com whenever I get that up and running.
Another reason is because I actually enjoy reading back through these stories, or rather having them read to me.
Sure, the phone app that reads my PDF book files occasionally pronounces things oddly, but the overall effect is quite pleasing.
I broke my reading glasses, so I got myself two new pair in order to prevent an emergency run to the store whenever that happens again. The nice thing is that I can continue listening to my books while I drive to the store for new glasses or wherever I might need to go.
