National Pumpkin π Seed Day 2023
Despite the mini heatwave, it’s National Pumpkin π Seed Day, so get those pepitas roasting.
Pump Up The π
Let’s be honest: you can’t celebrate fall without it’s leading role – pumpkin! You can incorporate this flavor of the season in so many ways, from candles to lattes, pies to decorations. ~Rachel Hollis
Ah, yes, the humble πpumpkinπ. Harbinger of all things πAutumnπ and all around great piece of produce. They come in a variety of lovely πAutumnalπ colors and conveniently decorative sizes.
Unlike my wife, I am a complete sucker for anything shaped to express an πAutumnalπ theme. Whether it’s pumpkin-shaped, fallen leaf themed, cornucopia-esque, scarecrowish or even unabashedly π» Halloweeny π¦, I’m reaching for it.
As I have neither the expendable income nor the space to house everything I see that fits these categories, Kelly is relieved not to have to find a place for any of it.
So, if you can’t afford to collect it in knickknack form, you might as well eat it…
Because I Need An Excuse To Fire Up The Air Fryer
Air Fryer Roasted Pumpkin Seeds
I love seasonal snacks, particularly when they fit into my dietary restrictions. Pumpkin seeds are tasty, particularly when someone else does the roasting.
All the same, I do love having a reason to plug in the air fryer and make something tasty. I saw a link to a video for doing spaghetti squash in the air fryer.
I’ll have to look into that, because I love all the varieties of squash that brighten up my favorite season of the year.
Combining my favorite flavors with my appliance of guilty pleasure seems like yet another excuse to love πAutumnπ.
Only the πͺ

Well, my No Mondays In 4Q Policy is finally in effect and I used it to excellent purpose this past weekend. I knocked out about 8000 words and got a week’s worth of content.
If only I could get my sites to drip properly. That reminds me, I have to contact my hosting company and see if they figured out why my cron jobs aren’t running correctly.
It’s a bit annoying when stuff that’s supposed to just go, doesn’t. It’s part of the reason so many people hate computers.
They’re convenient and do amazing things, but when they don’t, it’s agonizing.
Fortunately, I’ve been spared some of the computer’s antics when it comes to writing. I found myself getting rather quickly into the zone and kicking out some interesting storytelling.
Huzzah! Well worth the wait…
That’s all for now. I’ve got tons to do and even less year remaining to get it all done. Hope you’re having a wonderfully hygge πAutumnπ week!
