I was sleeping comfortably until Lysander decided to hop into bed this morning.

My cat thought it would be a good idea to jump on the bed exactly where my foot is. Now the side of my foot looks like Wolverine took a swipe at me.
In the interest of turning lemons to lemonade, I consider it a very good excuse to take a nice hot soaky bath before I start my writing for today.
Even so, yikes! That’s no way to wake up.

Yes, I know a lot of people don’t like to put the 🦌 sleigh 🎅 before the 🦃 turkey 🦃 but I’m not a lot of people. I like to enjoy Christmas all the time and particularly throughout the -ber months. If it’s after Halloween, all is merry and bright.

If nature has a horror of constraint, then my imagination is definitely a force of nature. When I put real pressure on it to deliver, the story springs forth.
I made a lot of progress this week and expect to have A Misfit Christmas done by next Friday at the latest. This will still give me time to format it for daily dripping on site. As originally announced, it will have all of the Hallmark Channel holiday movie tropes. As requested, it will also include a mystery.
I was pretty confused about how to integrate a mystery into a sappy holiday romance but then it happened. If you want to know what I came up with, you’ll have to follow the tale on Christmas All The Time starting on Thanksgiving Day.
I had planned on writing about Bryce and Veronica exclusively until the tale is complete, but the Sentinels are in no mood to wait for that. I managed to start on Chapter 25 last night after cranking out about 4000 words of the holiday story.
Now that my naughty cat has mangled my foot, I’ll have no choice but to sit here and continue writing while the scratches heal. Just as well, the show must go on…
Keeping it short today. I’ve got tons of writing to do.
