Staying Grounded

Turning the corner in a couple of ways today. Read on to see what’s cookin’…

Graduated

Mandy and Keri have been working with me for months now at Good Physical Therapy to get my ankle back into workable condition. After all this time, Mandy said that the strength and range of motion are what they need to be to get back to work. I’ve been released from physical therapy and will be taking a transitional position with a local NPO until I’m determined to be ready to return to the factory.

Prepping

Did the SHTF? No, not that kind of prepping.

So, the position I’m taking in the wake of my graduation from physical therapy is to serve as a prep cook for Chef Glenn at The Gathering Grounds in Lansford, PA. He’s an executive chef with 35 years in the industry. He’s done huge things and he’s bringing that experience to the community ministries of Grace Community Church of Lansford.

I’m excited to be working with the good folks at The Gathering Grounds for the next few weeks. Hopefully, I’ll pick up some awesome cooking skills so that the wife and kids aren’t so quick to turn their noses up at my culinary offerings.

Creating

Always read something that will make you look good if you die in the middle of it. ~P. J. O’Rourke

I’ve been working on a theme for the Twelve Days of Christmas on Christmas All The Time. I find that having a theme makes it easier to focus on getting the posts structured and done. Now that I’ve settled on a theme, I just need to crank those out and get them scheduled so I can get back to other projects.

Hopefully, my Sentinels books will qualify for the “make you look good if you die in the middle of it” category. I’m really excited to work with my kids to make the story milieu believable and worthy of hosting stories. I’d really like my stories to help change the world for the better.

That’s it for today. I’ve got an early start tomorrow. Hope your holidays are happy!
