Wednesday The Thirteenth
Halfway through the week, almost halfway through October.
Wednesday
They didn’t want it good, they wanted it Wednesday. ~Robert A. Heinlein
I’m in a weird place, as work goes. I’m perpetually behind on a bunch of things but I keep getting stuff done.
Wednesday is one of the days I’m typically left to my own devices to try to get caught up.
We’ll see how that pans out.
We’ve rescheduled my eye surgeries for next year in February and March. At least I’ll get to be asleep for that, so that’s one less bit of intolerable horror to have to deal with.
I’m not sure about my writing group.
It’s been interesting but I don’t think i’m really getting anything out of it at this point. They don’t seem to get it. They seem to be hung up on tangential nonsense. They’re not really my target audience, so it seems like I might be barking up the wrong tree.
I guess we’ll see how tonight’s reading goes.

WEDNESDAY THE 13TH (Short Film)
Here’s a comical little short film for your enjoyment.
Thirteen
Thirteen years I took on this last book. ~Gay Talese
It’s been a long strange trip getting to the point where I have books published, a publishing company started, a business bank account and a work in progress that will actually get finished.
When?
When I’m damned good and ready! That’s when.
It’s one thing to write my Holiday Season Serial Romances by the seat of my pants, but a 13 book series requires a bit more thought and planning.
It also requires ISBNs that I don’t happen to have the money for just yet. It also requires professional editing and book cover design services.
I don’t need it to be perfect. There’s no such thing. I do need for it to be done right and that costs money I don’t currently have.
So, I write. I plot. I plan. I run it through my editing software. I print it to PDF and let my phone read it to me so I know how it sounds aloud.
I actually find more value in that than I do from my writing groups. I think I may start reclaiming my Wednesday evenings. There are better things I can be doing with my time than reading to people who just don’t get it.
I’ve been banging keys all week so far. I’m kind of tired. I’m keeping this one quite short. See you on Saturday.
