I’ve had my ups and downs over the last half-century-plus.

Right now, I’m on an up-cycle.

I am where I wish I was about a decade or so ago.

Being able to work from home and making grown-up money would have been awesome back then, but it’s just as awesome now.

The savings on time in not commuting has improved my mental well-being significantly.

I got through some of my backlog over the weekend and that’s adding to my well-being as well.

I’ll have to remember to bake myself a cake if I can find the time.

I’m really, really, really glad not to have to drive anywhere these days.

Sure, we go grocery shopping sometimes. I have physical therapy appointments twice a week and sporadic doctor visits. We even visit family on birthdays and holidays.

But mostly, i get to stay 🏠 home sweet home.

And there it basically is.

As I mentioned recently, while I’m interested in telling an engaging superhero story with all of the standard tropes and trappings. Powers, bombastic battles, big personalities and alien invasions are part of the genre, but I’m most interested in the consequences of such things on all the people on the periphery.

That’s what I like about my Holiday Season Serial Romances. They’re about the regular people who experience the mayhem and carry on anyway.

Naturally, the series must be about The Sentinels themselves, but I want to maintain that normal person’s perspective on their doings.

Of course, I have to get caught up on my work stuff in order to have the time and mental bandwidth to get back to the writing.
