Between Two Evils

So, the 118th Congress is kicking off with a bang. I’ve got mixed feelings on the matter. Naturally, I don’t want some establishment hack as Speaker of the House, but this ought to have been hashed out before New Years Eve.
We’re switching from majority Democrap control to a slim majority Republican government. Ultimately, the Dems will happily stab you directly in your face while too many of the Republicans will tell you what you want to hear and then stab you in the back. This is what our government has become.
| We were hoping for a change. We’re fully expecting to be disappointed, let down and generally screwed by the whole crew in DC. We’d like to see something different. We’d like to see some investigations on the shenanigans that are obviously happening primarily in DC.
If we get an inside guy who talks a good game to get his dream job, pretty much none of that will occur. If we can’t depend on the Congress to get their heads out of their collective wazoos and just get the hell on with stuff, none of that will occur. |

Hopefully, we can just get the hell on with life and investigate things that need investigating, so arrests and prosecutions can proceed as needed.

It’s the Eleventh Day of Christmas, so here are some pipers piping for your enjoyment.
I’ve got a crapload of backlog work to catch up on, so I’ve got little to no mental bandwidth to opine on much of anything today.
I will say that I’m enjoying the Willow miniseries. Some people will pan it as too woke because the princess is gay. BFD, some people are.
It doesn’t seem forced to me. They’re not going around waving rainbow flags and pontificating on gay rights or whatever. It’s fine and it’s not interfering with the core story.

As previously stated, I write because I must. It’s a basic need I have, akin to breathing, eating or sleeping.
That’s why I write. That’s why I started an LLC to self-publish. That’s why I defined a handful of IPs that I’ll spend the rest of my life working on.
In the short term, I’ve got to format Merry 🔔 Bells and design a cover for it. Ideally, that will happen tonight or tomorrow. It remains to be seen if I can pull that off. That’s why I’m keeping this short.
