Last Day of Autumn 2019

Tomorrow is the first day of Winter. Time is ticking merrily along and Christmas is approaching with us basically prepared.

Fall Has Fell

Today is the last day of the last Autumn of the decade. In the final analysis, I’ve got to say:

So what?

Seems like a huge turning point but it’s really just another day like the ones before and after.

Who cares?

Not my usual upbeat spin on things? Oh, well.

I ain’t feelin’ it folks.

Sure, the season is nearly over and so is the year and so is the decade.

Meh.

Do I have plans, goals, hopes, anything?

Not so much.

I’m just existing. Good thing I’m in vacation mode. I’d be in trouble if I actually meant to be doing something. I’ve got to get out of this funk I’m in.

Not today, though.

Right now, I’m just tired and sore and uninspired. I guess we’ll see what the winter brings…

Winter Wonderland – The Eurythmics

As we transition from one season to another, what better way to celebrate than with a popular rendition of a holiday classic? Annie Lennox is one of my all-time favs and I like her version of this song.

Santa’s Coming

Every gift which is given, even though it be small, is in reality great, if it is given with affection. ~Pindar

Times have been tight this year, so the presents are few but lovingly given.

I’m just glad the kids will be home and watching Christmas specials with us. Time with all of my kids together is the best gift of all.

That’s it for the last Autumn of the decade. In about a week and a half, we’ll be into the Twenties. Will it be the Roaring Twenties or the Snoring Twenties?
