Go Slow Saturday

Been a busy week in a busy month. Luckily, I’ve got nowhere to go today. Time to catch up on sleep, work and some more sleep.

Well, This Explains Everything

In politics, stupidity is not a handicap. ~Napoleon Bonaparte

Yeah, honestly.

Just watch the evening news for a moment and you’re going to see this in action.

It would be comical if it was a fictional series like House of Cards or The West Wing, but no, it’s our particular glitch in the matrix playing out in front of us.

You would think that intelligence would count for something in DC, but sadly, not so much.

There’s a saying that the cream rises to the top.

This conveniently sidesteps the fact that (on ponds, as with the swamp of politics) the scum rises to the top.

We need somebody with Batman’s capacity for contingency planning to put an end to the idiocy…

Y’All πŸ¦‡ Got πŸ¦‡ Batmanned!

Batman DESTROYS the Justice League with FACTS and LOGIC

There are a lot of these comical comic book-based shorts, but this one stuck out for me.

In the short feature above, Batman is dishing out some sick burns to his teammates because Batman is a loner and not much given to playing nice.

The Green Lantern is making fun of Batman | Justice League: War

Thing is, while the comical short makes light of Batman’s capacity for out-thinking his teammates, the comics have actually drawn this out to its logical conclusion.

Batman has contingencies for everything.

How Batman evens the Playing Field

He had a plan to take down any superhero in the Justice League who might go off the rails. Unfortunately, Ra’s al Ghul got hold of Batman’s records. As explained in the video below, taking advantage of Batman’s ingenuity was a formula for disaster.

Batman knew exactly how to take down any member of the Justice League and keep them down.

If only we had the same ingenuity for dismantling the Loony Left…

Energy Is The πŸ—οΈ

Energy is the key to creativity. Energy is the key to life. ~William Shatner

It may very well be the key, but I have neither the key nor the energy.

Another thing that’s quite draining is dragging all this baggage around.

I can’t even think about writing until I’ve caught up on some outstanding to-do items.

But Rob, you say, you just have to allocate a part of each day to write and make a habit of it.

πŸ‡«πŸ‡· Au contraire, mon frere! πŸ‡«πŸ‡·

My day is rarely my own. I’m so far behind that it’s not even funny.

All the more reason for me to just sleep the heck in today and catch up on sleep so that I’ll have the aforementioned energy.

Presuming that such energization takes place, I’ve got some things that absolutely must be done before Monday.

That being the case, the fact that these things must be done means that I literally have no time available for writing until these things are completed.

But…

It’s the weekend and I pretty much don’t want to do anything because I’ve been doing and doing and doing constantly for months already.

So…

I’ve not only got the baggage of having stuff that needs being done, I’ve got the added drag of resisting the doing of some of it.

Is it any wonder I just want to go to bed πŸ›ŒπŸΌπŸ’€ and stay there rather than doing anything at all?

That’s all. I’m sleeping in. I’ve got to catch some πŸ’€πŸ˜΄πŸ’€ before I attempt to catch up on everything else.
