Reciprocalove
I woke up this morning to a delightful vision. Unfortunately, Kelly had to go to work so she put her clothes on. That’s alright. She’s still cute with her clothes on, too.
Reciprocal Love
Being deeply loved by someone gives you strength, while loving someone deeply gives you courage. ~Lao Tzu
I can attest to that.
I’ve done things I wouldn’t if I didn’t have my darling wife’s love to back me up. She gives me everything I need.
I’m so glad we can share our lives together through the ups and downs.
Life wouldn’t be the same without my best friend ever.
Dressed To Kill

I’m still playing with the inevitable switch from goody-goody Superfriends version of the Sentinels to the grittier, some folks just need killing version of the super team.
The pantser in me is struggling violently against the process of trying to lay out a basic plotline.
Needless to say, it’s causing some delays and giving me more than a little bit of a headache.
Disparate Elements
To change your phrase somewhat, I know that I like an art where disparate elements form an entity. ~James Schuyler
I like art that incorporates different elements. It’s something I’m striving to make a part of my own stories.
The mixture of humor, drama and violence is one of the chief appeals of the superhero genre. People like to joke around. It’s a natural part of life. Doing it in the heat of battle helps take the edge off of what would otherwise be a very taxing personal struggle.
People also like to relate. It’s in our nature to empathize with the plight of others. It’s also in our nature to want to do something about it.
Superheroes are a natural role to hang these emotions on.
They’re people with extraordinary abilities trying to live ordinary lives. They just want to do the right thing and are more capable of dealing with life’s little complexities than the average person.
Granted, any one of us can trip a bank robber on his way out the door. Any one of us would probably be shot dead for doing so. Depending on the superhero’s abilities, this stops being a concern. Spider-Man can typically dodge bullets while Superman lets them plink off of him like spitballs.
Superheroes are expected to step in.
The image of Batman, Daredevil or Spider-Man swinging around the alleys looking for muggers to thwart is as iconic as it is de rigueur. Having Superman rescue cats from trees is as on point as having him catch a falling jumbo jet.
Of course, there’s only so much any one superhero can do.
To this end, they sometimes join up temporarily as the Netflix Marvel heroes did in the Defenders miniseries. They can also join up permanently as they did in the Justice League, the Avengers, the Legion of Superheroes and in the Sentinels.
Superhero teams are usually constructed to have the various members cover the weak points of their colleagues. These teams are constructed by the writers to have complementary powers like the Fantastic Four. Some teams come together for common cause regardless of the power balance.
Some teams, like the Sentinels, come together because they’re simply the only superbeings in the world and everybody likes to have friends who have something in common with you.
Sometimes that’s not quite enough. Even though Foxfire and his friend, Lucky, envisioned the Sentinels to be a gathering place for supers and to be a force for good in their world, it still just feels like a job sometimes. The Sentinels have been doing the same old same old since their founding in 1992. With the arrival of Blue Banshee, a lot of questions are being raised that will need answering if the team is to survive.
That’s hump day on the run. I’ve got other matters to attend to, so I’m keeping it short. Hopefully, Kelly will get naked for me again after she gets home. I like that a lot…
