National Goof Off Day 2023

Sadly, I have no time for National Goof Off Day this year and, though they sound fabulously tasty, Bavarian Crepes are off the menu for me.

It was time for a break this past weekend. Fortunately, the solution presented itself.

Folks at the company were moving office, so everything was offline.

Fantastic. Couldn’t get on if I wanted to.

I didn’t.

I needed a rest, and I got one.

As such, it will probably be a while until I get another break like that.

Except…

I need to take breaks when I need them. I’ve just been rolling with the never-ending demand. Lost sleep. Lost weekends. Lost good will with the family. I can’t afford all that. It’s costing me more than it’s worth.

I need to be more disciplined about how I manage my life/work balance.

We’ll see how that works out.

National Bavarian Crepes Day (March 22) – Activities and How to Celebrate Bavarian Crepes Day

I’m sure there’s some way to do this in a sugar-free, low carb variation, but it’s just as well for me to steer clear.

Yes, I’m trying to be better about my diet and exercise. Now that it’s officially 💐Spring🌷, I can get outside with Kelly and Rose a bit more often.

My inclination is not to go outside at all, but Kelly likes to go out so I like to go with her if I’m not busy. Actually, I like to go out with her even if I am busy.

It depends how busy I am and whether it can wait a moment.

That being said, I’ve been advised by my dermatologist to do something that I like even less than going outside. I’ll have to find a hat to keep that annoying bright thing from doing unfortunate things to my gloriously shiny dome.

I used to have hair to keep the dreaded rays of the sun off of me, but as the saying goes: 🌿 grass don’t grow on a busy street 🌿.

Sadly, that busy street is primarily traversed by work requirements these days. Man, I need to play the lottery more.

I’m still a bit stumped for waypoints. I did get a lovely, relaxing weekend to recover from some of the more onerous and stressful projects I’ve been involved in. I spent the weekend in a generally zombified state.

More’s the pity since I didn’t get anywhere on this month’s Christmas All The Time article.

Even so, it’s incredibly difficult to be creative when you’re stressed out of your brain or starved for sleep and relaxation.

So, grateful for a relaxing to the point of basically brain-dead weekend, I’ve got a new week to try to burn the candle at both ends and various points along the middle.

The March monthly needs to get done. I’d like to get some of the later ones done so I can start early on this year’s Holiday Season Serial Romance.
