Be Mine

Tomorrow is Valentine’s Day! I just love, love, love my sweet, wonderful wife! I’m so glad to be able to spend this fun, festive holiday playing Scrabble and eating special romantic food.

Progress is progressing

So, I’ve committed to two channel videos per day and am sticking to it for the foreseeable future. I’ve got over 100 articles lined up to convert to videos. Huzzah.

Some More Rules

Rule #221-222: Not yet cited in Star Trek episodes, movies or novels

If you’re going to do something tonight that you’ll be sorry for tomorrow morning, sleep late. ~Henny Youngman

Always start with a joke, they say. This isn’t actually advice. If you’re going to do something tonight that you’ll be sorry for tomorrow morning, don’t. Don’t do things you know you’re going to regret. Life is too short to deliberately inflict regret into it. Don’t be silly. Don’t be stupid. Don’t be self-destructive.

Rule #223: Beware the man who doesn’t take time for Oo-mox

A lovely thought for Valentine’s Day. LOL. Certainly, beware of ascetics. All work and no play may make Jack a dull boy but it also makes him obsessive enough to be planning something untoward. Into every life, a little love must bloom. If you can’t take a little joy in life, you’re probably a scary robot.

Rule #224-226: Not yet cited in Star Trek episodes, movies or novels

Man is so made that when anything fires his soul, impossibilities vanish. ~Jean de La Fontaine

There’s nothing like a dose of passion to disintegrate all obstacles in life. When you’re really in the groove, miracles occur. How else would I have wound up married to such a beautiful angel of a woman?

Rule #227: If that’s what’s written, then that’s what’s written

Ferengi are all about their contracts. They’re also very conniving little creatures, so their contracts are undoubtedly fraught with crazy small print. Unfortunately, so do we in the real world. There are plenty of people who use the small print to trap people in horrendous traps.

Always. Read. The. Whole. Contract.

Rule #228: Not yet cited in Star Trek episodes, movies or novels

All you need is love. But a little chocolate now and then doesn’t hurt. ~Charles M. Schulz

It’s true. What’s Valentine’s Day without a little chocolate? Nothing more likely to get you some oo-mox than getting your lovely someone special a heart-shaped box of chocolates.

Rule #229: Latinum lasts longer than lust

Most things last longer than lust, when it comes right down to it. The hotter the fire, the more quickly it burns. Unfortunately, this is the basis of a lot of the marriages that end in divorce. How many of these whirlwind romances that fly directly to the Elvis chapel in Las Vegas really last? About 50%, if divorce stats are to be believed. Of those marriages (like my own, which is 25½ years strong) that stand the test of time, more than a few enjoy the periodic flare-up of lust. Seeing my wife is a guaranteed lust igniter for me.

Rule #230: Not yet cited in Star Trek episodes, movies or novels

Soul meets soul on lover’s lips ~Percy Bysshe Shelley

What more can you say than that? I’m going to go kiss my darling wife. I love touching souls with my beloved soulmate.

I’m keeping this short and sweet, just like a Valentine’s kiss. 💋 Happy Valentine’s Day. 💘 Hope you’re having one as fine as wine and as deliriously happy as mine. 💕
