Cusp Of The Holidays

Right, so we’re steamrolling into my busy season.

A Nirvana Christmas

I’ve got a headstart on my Christmas content, but that’s going to be vanishing like the hissing wick at the beginning of a Mission Impossible episode.

Fortunately, I’ve given myself a week and a half lead time with what I’ve already got scheduled. I should be able to write and schedule most of the posts for Advent before December even begins.

Additionally, my beloved wife insists on keeping all Christmas stuff after Thanksgiving.

Since she’s been such a stickler for the timing, we’re going to go
full-yulethis year.

Chipmunks and Bing Crosby 24xuntil at least New Year’s (although Christmas isn’t technically over until Epiphany).

Getting Better

Slow, though the progress has been, I’m pretty much fully recovered from the minivan mishap and am largely recovered from the ankle injury. Once I can descend stairs without skyrocketing pain, we can get back to something passing for normal.

I’ve also noticed a pretty rapid pain increase when walking for more than 15-30 minutes. It makes Christmas shopping a challenge, but it’s not likely to work out too well on the factory floor. We’ll see what the orthopedic specialist has in store for me next Wednesday.

To Each His Own

Once again, we come to the Holiday Season, a deeply religious time that each of us observes, in his own way, by going to the mall of his choice. ~Dave Barry

I try to get mine all done well before Black Friday, but it doesn’t always work out that way.

I wish you a happy Thanksgiving however you choose to celebrate it. I like to stay close to home for the holidays, but then again I like to stay close to home on most occasions so it’s like most other days with Christmas music and lots of cookies added in.
