Getting The Christmas Spirit

Well, here we are in early December. There are some full-time Christmas radio stations going and lots of holiday decor in all the stores.

My Two Sons

Today was largely dedicated to errands on behalf of my sons, Allan and Connor. Allan had a weekly appointment to attend. There were some side trips on the way home from that. Connor wanted to attend this week’s round of testing at USA Martial Arts.

That was basically the entire day with me behind the wheel sharing time and talk with each of my dear sons. Connor is the more talkative of the two, but both of them had things to say today and I’m glad I was given the opportunity to have some time alone with them.

Got Your Tree Up?

The Story Behind This Year’s Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree | NBC Nightly News

The big honkin’ tree in Rockefeller Plaza is 77 feet this year. My parents also have their tree up. I’m assuming it’s not 77 feet tall.

Ours won’t go up until later in the month because we have 3 frisky little kitties who have some difficulty curbing their curiosity.

Middleman

I never know what I’m going to put on the canvas. The canvas paints itself. I’m just the middleman. ~Peter Max

Writing fiction is a window onto worlds that only I am aware of.

Who heard of Hogwarts or Muggles before JK Rowling shared them with us?

Who heard of Middle Earth or Hobbits before JRR Tolkien shared them with us?

The fictional world that currently has slightly divided attention is the Sentinelsverse. Like the Arrowverse, the DC Universe or the Marvel Universe, this particular parallel dimension is inhabited by superheroes of various types.

I had anticipated a Christmasverse for my Holiday Season Serial Romances, but there was really no reason not to make use of a milieu that was already in development. Making this decision made the writing of this year’s new holiday story so much easier.

It is really just like being a middleman. I see into this other world to share the characters and their stories for people to (hopefully) enjoy.

It was a really busy day, so I got this in late. Better late than never, though…
