Hey! Where The Heck Is My Snow?

It’s the middle of January and I don’t see a single flake of snow out there. Some people are glad for it, but I’d appreciate a decorative coating.

They Wanted It Wednesday

They didn’t want it good, they wanted it Wednesday. ~Robert A. Heinlein

🤡 Yeah, well, homie don’t play dat. 🤡

It takes what it takes to get stuff done and get it done right. If you get it done right, it doesn’t have to be done again.

That’s why I’d rather have it done right than on some arbitrary schedule. Great if both can happen, but right always takes precedence.

There are only so many hours in the day. There are only so many cycles in my brain per day.

I’m sick of the work-induced coma. I’m just done.

I’m eating the elephant one bite at a time.

I’m finally getting through some of the stuff that’s been hanging out there for a while.

It’s got to get done, but I’m one person and I can only do what I can do.

As I knock the pins down, I ring the bell to let people know they’re done.

And then I go to bed 🛌

That is literally all I have the time or energy for.

Being exhausted doesn’t do me or anyone else any good.

Midweek Coziness

Cloudy Winter Day at Cozy Coffee Shop ❄ Relaxing Jazz Piano for Studying, Working and Sleep

Here’s some ambience for you to enjoy your Hump Day. Perhaps you can envision yourself skiing down the slope of the rest of the week.

I know I am.

I’m very much looking forward to some serious downtime this weekend.

Not sure that I can bring myself to have any plans. I just need to sleep and not do anything even vaguely passing for work.

I think there are some new shows releasing that I might want to watch. Maybe I’ll get around to that. Maybe I won’t.

The only plan I have is to do basically nothing. It’s time for rest and rejuvenation.

Stillness

Many writers who choose to be active in the world lose not virtue but time, and that stillness without which literature cannot be made. ~Gore Vidal

Still busy. No progress to report.

That’s all for today. I hope your week is bringing you some hygge midwinter treats.
