No Escape

We tried out an intermediate-level escape room at the Country Junction in Lehighton, PA. We came close, but no escape this time.

Little Grey Cells

The room had plenty of challenges and we actually cracked most of them. Had we unlocked the cabinet, we’d have gotten out in time. Unfortunately, the map on the wall proved too cryptic for us. There were actually a bunch of clues, but we went off on a fruitless tangent.

It was a fun exercise and I’m glad we got to try our hand at it. Everybody brought something to the process and that was probably the best part. We really got to work together to try to solve the mystery of how to get out of the room before the clock ran down.

Some Marvel movie actors try their hand at an Avengers-themed escape room.
Will they succeed where we did not?

Better Luck

The escape room may have gotten the better of us but I’ve been making serious progress setting up Pioneer Skill Set. I’ve got the main site almost entirely set up.

While I was at it, I also began setting up Pioneer Skill Set’s eCommerce store. The Trading Post will be up and running shortly after the main site goes live.

I’ve also got my Season 2 trailer for the Pioneer Skill Set Channel ready for when the updated site goes live. I seem to remember setting up a Pinterest page for it. I’ll have to get more active with putting actual pins.

I also had a Christmasy pin board started that I have now converted into the official Christmas All The Time pinboard. Needless to say, I’ll be setting up pinboards for Nerdlightenment and Sentinels Station as those projects mature.

Group Cohesion

A family can develop only with a loving woman as its center. ~Karl Wilhelm Friedrich Schlegel

Kelly reminded me that behind every great man is a greater woman prodding him along. I said, “Do you think I’m a great man?” Her response was impolite, to say the least…

What I can say, without reservation, is that my wife is the most:

  • magnificent
  • loving
  • cheerful
  • devoted
  • tolerant
  • creative
  • tireless
  • forgiving
  • sexy
  • cuddly
  • romantic

…woman you could ever have the pleasure to meet and she’s mine, all mine. I love her dearly. She’s the very heart of this family.

The fact that my kids are the people they are today is down to her loving nature, tireless interest in their well-being and sterling character.

Words cannot express how precious my wife is to me, so I’ll cite a Bible verse that’s close to our hearts. A wife of noble character who can find? She is worth far more than rubies.

We both have July birthdays and July’s birthstone is Ruby, so I got her a ruby engagement ring instead of a diamond. She is, indeed, worth far more than rubies and I’m glad she’s my best friend for life. 😍

I hope you’re having as lovely a weekend as we are. Smile, it’s almost 🍂Autumn🍁!
