Busy Week Means A Weekend Recuperating

I’m not an early bird at all. Ideally, on Saturday morning I’d allow myself a lovely lie-in. 10:45 would be just right. ~Shilpa Shetty

Wow, what a week. I knew I’d be in a work coma last night, so I’m glad I have the leisure to sleep in this weekend.

I am mentally mashed at this point. Jumping from project to project is pretty taxing, but the weight of knowing that I’ve got as many projects waiting as those I’m jumping between in a given week makes it that much worse.

Not sure what I have lined up for this weekend, but it’s definitely not going to require any mental functionality on my part.Β I am well and truly knackered.

Imagine Whirled Peas

How to make the best hummus of your life

Chick peas, that is.

Okay, she’s all about the homemade stuff, but I’m perfectly happy with the pre-made stuff from the store.

If I’m feeling super-posh, I can probably buy some at a Greek or Mediterranean restaurant.

🎼 Writing ✍🏼 Tunes 🎢

Music is an important part of my writing process. ~Peter James

Couldn’t agree more. Whether I’m writing code or writing one of my stories, music helps me to focus and stay immersed in the process.

Warm Jazz Music β˜• Cozy Coffee Shop Ambience with Relaxing Jazz Piano for Study, Work and Relax

Naturally, the playlist depends on the genre I’m writing in. Holiday Season Serial Romance writing typically runs on Christmas tunes, while writing The Sentinels works best with an Evanescence album playing.

That’s all for this weekend. I have no mental bandwidth left. Hopefully, I’ll have something interesting to say on National Walnut Day…
