March Madness 2021
We’ve got our own version of March Madness at work. There’s some Spring Cleaning to do and prizes to win. Huzzah!
Marital Bliss
It is not a lack of love, but a lack of friendship that makes unhappy marriages. ~Friedrich Nietzsche
It goes without saying that the key to any long-term relationship is friendship. The people who stay married for decades upon decades are the ones who see their spouse as their best friend.
Fortunately, Kelly is my best friend and shall be for the rest of our lives.
If you’re hitting a rough patch, remember who your best friend is. If it’s not your life partner, you married the wrong person. Sorry. It’s as simple as that.
As for me, I’m enjoying the company of my 💕BFF💕. Gotta love long, cold weekends and sleeping late with my beloved.
☘️🇮🇪 O’Brian! 🇮🇪☘️

There are few things more Irish than an O’Brian and our favorite is Chief Petty Officer Miles O’Brien, who is played by Colm Meany.
The interesting thing is that most people with the surname of O’Brian/O’Brien trace their ancestry back to the High King, Brian Boru from 11th Century Ireland. You can learn about him in the video above.
The funny thing about the Chief is that he started off as an extra on Star Trek: The Next Generation. Somewhere along the line, the screenwriters gave him a name and he became one of the most engaging characters in the franchise.
It’s funny how characters take on a life of their own. From a simple transporter tech to Chief of Operations on Deep Space Nine, Miles grew from a random guy standing around to a truly rich and interesting character.

I’ve Got Ideas, I’m Just Too Tired To Write Them
The writing process is the time where nothing’s been set in stone. It’s a blank slate, or a blank page. ~Leigh Whannell
Seriously. That’s I’ve got. I’m way too damned tired to write about writing today. I’m just tired. That is all.
I know you were looking for some profound insight or whatever but I’m just shy of brain-dead right now.
I did come up with a great ending for book one of the Sentinels series. Maybe I’ll write that down later today.
I sure hope so. It’s actually pretty good.
That’s all for today. There’s a good chance that while you’re reading this, I’m still asleep. I hope you’re getting some R&R this weekend. It’s crazy cold here but it seems like one last blow before Spring kicks in.
