If you know me at all, you know I’m a lifelong SciFi geek. Naturally, I enjoy celebrating nerd holidays like “May The Fourth Be With You“.

Nerds

One of the things that attracted me to my beloved wife is that she, like me, is an unapologetic SciFi nerd. She mostly likes Star Trek, but we generally enjoy the full gamut of speculative fiction. Naturally, our kids turned out to be SciFi nerds as well.

As such, we’re celebrating our unabashed nerdiness by going to see Avengers: Endgame today. The 3hr2m romp on Thanos’ evil plan to erase half of all life in the universe is going to be the culmination of an eleven-year meta-plot.

We’re going to see it and we’re going to like it
because we’re nerds and that’s what nerds do.

I’ve been cranking out at least one thousand-word scene each day to finish my first novel up. I’ve got to dig up a bunch of my old notes from the handwritten books. I have character names and details that I need to make reference to in my current efforts.

I’ve been trying for years. Now, I’m finally doing and I can feel the difference.

Yoda may be ageless and wise, but he totally loses it when it comes to seagulls!
