Novem-BRR 2021

Accuweather and Farmer’s Almanac both warned us that ❄️ Winter ❄️ would be kicking in early this year and things couldn’t be better. 🥰 It’s gloriously chilly. All the damned bugs are back in hibernation. I can go outside without worrying about getting hot and sweaty. It’s fan-freakin’-tabulous!!!

Election Day

It’s not what you pay a man, but what he costs you that counts. ~Will Rogers

It’s worth recognizing that the day after this year’s Election Day, some people may be having voter’s remorse for what went down at last year’s election.

We went from the guy who donated his entire presidential salary to different charities to Mr. 10% To The Big Guy.

We went from the guy who was yea-close to Middle East Peace to the guy who abruptly left Afghanistan stranding Americans and leaving behind billions in military equipment.

We went from the guy who helped us become a net producer of energy to the simpering dickhead who was begging OPEC to increase production because he stupidly closed down our own pipeline.

We went from the guy with the “mean” tweets to the guy who can barely finish a sentence.

We went from the guy who had nearly finished a physical wall to stem the flow of illegal immigration from points south to the complete cock-up who not only turned the spigots on full blast but is actually circulating these unvetted invaders around to destabilize as much of the country as inhumanly possible.

We went from record employment to paying people to stay home.

We went from sanity and strength to idiocy and mind-numbing stupidity.

For God’s sake, people. Stop voting for Democrats. They have never wanted anything good for this country.

The Inconvenient Truth About the Democratic Party

The party should have been banned. The leadership of the Confederacy should have been hanged. The Klan should have been hunted down like the rabid animals they were and continue to be.

Reconstruction failed due to Democrats. Anyone interfering should have been shot on sight.

A light hand was applied because, after all, these were fellow Americans. Poor misguided fools who had been led astray by some 3%ers and just wanted to go back to their farms and pick up the pieces.

Reconstruction Part 1 of 2

Reconstruction Part 2 of 2

Fuck that noise.

They’re pushing us inexorably toward a second civil war with their crap policies, their culture war and their hare-brained self-absorption. Unless we can pull back from the brink in time to save the country from these rabid buffoons, we’re going to have something far worse than the 1860s or even Yugoslavia in the 1990s.

Extremes continue building until the madness collapses under its own weight. I’d prefer not to see that. I’d prefer to see this country go back to “normal”.

Most rational people can see that we have some improvements to make socially, medically, technologically and politically but we were actually doing alright before Obama came along. Fundamentally transform the country?

No, thanks. I joined the Air Force specifically to fight communism. I don’t want to see it foisted on us as a stealth maneuver by the bureaucracy. It’s not inevitable. The only thing about communism that’s inevitable is misery, suffering and failure.

That’s what has happened everywhere it has been enacted.

China, you say? Well, they’re not really communist anymore. When they deliberately create billionaires and spawn a portion of their populace to become western-like magnates, that would be fascism. They can wave a red flag with gold stars and talk the Mao talking points, but I don’t see the Chinese Communist Party as anything other than a rebranded dynasty.

Maoism lead to death, suffering and squalor. Once they began to hybridize, things got better for them. Sure, they maintain central control but it isn’t “pure communism”. They’ve deliberately established a have/have-not paradigm that is antithetical to the wretched Mr. Marx’s ideals.

Sure, in the long run it’s probably a question of fattening some geese for consumption. They’ll show the world what it really means to “eat the rich” when they reverse their policy on manufactured billionaires, but for now they’ve betrayed the revolution.

As with everywhere else, communism has failed. So, why try it here?

Because Democrats are fundamentally stupid, selfish people who believe that the government is Santa Claus. We need more mental hospitals to house all of the frothing morons who believe the crap that the Left is spewing.

Biden isn’t the only one in need of a retirement home and a bowl of soup. I think Democrats, in general, need to be housed in massive asylums where they can believe all the drivel they spout and preach it to each other while the rest of us get on with life in the real world.

Thanksgiving Before Christmas

Making the Ultimate Thanksgiving Holiday Feast

My son was griping about the post-Halloween explosion of Christmasness.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!

Too bad, buddy. Thanksgiving may be the next big holiday but it’s merely the doorway to the whole Holiday Season, baby!

Andy Williams – It’s The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year (Lyrics)

What happens at the end of the 🦃 Macy’s parade on Thanksgiving 🍗?

The same thing that happens at the end of the ❄️ King Frost Parade ❄️ on Halloween!

Elf the movie: Santa Announcement

Santas Coming!!!

In 52 days, actually. Have you thought about what you’re getting me for Christmas? Let’s not quibble on how soon is too early to play Christmas music in the stores and focus on something important like what you’re getting me for Christmas…

Breathing Room

What art offers is space – a certain breathing room for the spirit. ~John Updike

I actually wrote the first episode of Holly and Ivy the other day. It’s amazing how my mind shifts into creative mode and just takes over the keyboard. It’s a whole other frame of mind.

l do get a bit of this at my day job when I need to do some creative programming, but it’s not quite the same as engaging in a purely artistic exercise.

I’m not sure if you have any hobbies like writing, drawing, woodworking, knitting or whatever.

If you don’t, you might want to seriously consider taking something up.

There’s a simple joy in creating things, particularly when those things are meant to be shared with others.

There’s the immersive joy of creating the thing while you’re doing it and the follow-up joy of giving it to someone who needed it.

The act of creating is a calming, meditative process that magically results in something wonderful.

Whether that’s a sweater, a pair of book ends, a flower pot, a batch of cookies or a superheric tridecology, the creation of it is a subtle journey from your mind through your hands to a new thing that never existed before.

How wonderful is that?

Yes, I know I’ve gotten sidetracked recently. Being in a quandry of what to write for Holly and Ivy set me on a researchaholic craze for a project I’m not even actively working on.

That’s the dark side of creativity. When you’re grasping for something you can’t figure out in order to creatively get to work on it, your mind goes into a mad labyrinth of maybe this, maybe that and you wind up with a million internet search engine tabs open.

Even so, I still encourage you to take up a creative hobby if you don’t already have one. The time spent creating marvelous things to share with others is well worth the occasional foray into what if crazytown.

That’s all for today. I’ve got tons to do and not so much time to do it. 🌲❄️🎄 Christmas Is Coming... 🦌🎅🎁
