Summer, Summer, Go Away!

Ugh! I was so excited for the beginning of Autumn. I even got a false Fall. Boom, right back in the 70s. Yuck.

Weather

Fortunately, I only have one more day to endure the dregs of Summer. I’m waiting with bated breath for Autumn to properly arrive.

For your amusement, we’ve got a skit about guys applying to be a TV Weather reporter.

Whether

I’m not going to go into what kind of a damned day I’m having today, but the revered creator of modern horror fiction definitely wraps it up in a bow for me.

The world is indeed comic, but the joke is on mankind. ~H.P. Lovecraft

Honestly, it’s just that kind of day.

Unfortunately, tomorrow’s going to be miserably hot and stormy. With my luck, the power will be out all bloody day.

In any case, I’m making some progress on my Zombie Apocalypse DVDs although I’ve got a bit of a quandary about them. Being in the public domain, some of them are a tad dated. Classics like The Night of the Living Dead and The White Zombie are a tad primitive given all the special effects of today’s flicks, but are good regardless of their age. Some of the others, well, they’re dated in a number of ways. Whether or not to package those for sale? Hmmm…

I’m also stacked up on ideas for the daily posts on Christmas All The Time. Just a matter of putting fingers on keys and letting the magic of the season take over.

Whither

My advice to you is not to inquire why or whither, but just enjoy your ice cream while it’s on your plate. ~Thornton Wilder

Today started so absolutely abysmally, but the problems are largely resolved even at this early hour. Disaster looms in the wake of today’s oopsies, but as long as it only looms and doesn’t strike I’ll be perfectly happy to write it off as a generally crappy false-summer day.

It’s hard to be circumspect when circumstances threaten to give you a Shaquil O’Neal-sized kick in the nads, but it’s easier to breathe a sigh of relief when the kick misses.

Seriously, I’ll be lucky to be alive when my Christmas posts go live. What a freakin’ year…

Yeah, short and sweet again. I can’t write a novel all the time, now can I? I’ve got the rest of my week to get on with and so do you.
