Coming Soon

I’ve been working on a project for my prepper site and it’s almost done!

Preppers

The thing with survivalists or preppers is that they’re waiting for the other shoe to drop. Whatever triggered their need for vigilance, it’s coming and they want to know how to survive the impending catastrophe.

Fair enough.

While they’re about the serious business of surviving whatever they most fear, it might help to have a look at the Zombie Apocalypse.

This is one of the more far-fetched concerns unless you count all of the people shambling around with their necks craned, looking into their phones as if trying to retrieve their souls from a sorcerer’s talisman.

You also have to determine which kind of zombie you’re talking about. Are they the old voodoo zombie slaves that shamble around aimlessly waiting for the bokor’s instructions or are they the new viral zombies that make a beeline for your brains?

To that end, I have found a collection of classic movies that happen to be in the public domain and can be freely used by anyone (including me).

I’m on the way to completing my first Zombie Apocalypse Theater Double Feature with Survival Extras. The title of the first collection is:

Communist Plan To Eat My Brain

The disk features Teenage Zombies and The Night of the Living Dead with introductions and recaps by  Mad 🎃 Jack .

I have a variety of special features that are also in the public domain or are licensed for commercial use to add to the disk. I’m not sure how much DVDStyler will let me add until I get it going. Hopefully, all of the special features will fit on a disk. If not, I might split them among the disks to encourage folks to buy all of them in order to get all of the special features

Christmas Is Coming…

Okay, Kurt Russell as Santa? How can you go wrong?

That looks like a really enjoyable holiday show and I’m looking forward to seeing it.

I do have my topics picked out for the first week or so of the holiday season and have gathered research for each of the festive days I’ve outlined. When I’m done with the Zombie Apocalypse DVDs, I’ll start cranking out merry holiday posts.

Deep Thoughts

The actions of men are the best interpreters of their thoughts. ~James Joyce

So, the various injuries that have plagued me in previous weeks are largely settling down to a dull ache. That is, until I do something.

You usually can’t be faulted for doing something unless it’s something bad. Taking steps toward a goal is a commendable use of your time, but sometimes the steps are actually painful.

Of late, actual steps are often painful.

In recent years, conceptual steps have been painful.

Even so, one has to take a step to see if your legs will hold you. It’s easy to kick up your feet and watch Netflix all the time. It’s very seductive, but things need doing.

Despite my apparent inactivity, I have been doing quite a lot. I’m waiting for the seeds I’ve planted to bloom into splendid results. Only time will tell how it all comes out.

I’m pretty busy so I’m keeping it short today. I’ll let you know when the DVDs are ready for purchase. If you like dated horror flicks and keen prepper tips, you’ll enjoy the upcoming Zombie Apocalypse Theater collection.
