I truly appreciate all the encouraging words and wishes for a speedy recovery. Fortunately, it was a short bout with the dreaded virus. A bit more time in quarantine and life can get back to normal.

The Late Stan Lee Dines At Hell’s Kitchen

By all accounts, Stan Lee was every bit as charming, cheerful and nice as he seemed.

Sadly, I never got to meet him in person.

Would have been a genuine treat to meet him before he passed.

Connor and I did get to meet some other comic book classics during our forays to ComicCon.

I hope they’ll start it up again soon.

Everybody needs a little magic and optimism in their year and ComicCon was always a place to find it.

Beat Down

I have been giving some thought to writing this week, but that’s about all the energy I had for it.

Work deadlines, article deadlines and my basic inability to stay awake for more than a few hours at a time have ensured that I have accomplished absolutely nothing this week.

Nevertheless, the urge is still there and these stories are quietly waiting to be written.

Thank God it’s Saturday and I don’t have to feel badly about sleeping in or lazing around. If nothing else, the miserable virus has given me a fair bit of extra pillow time. Might as well enjoy it while I can. I hope you’re getting some R&R this weekend, too.
