Thanksgiving 🦃 2022

Aaaaaaand it’s holiday time again!!! The most wonderful time of the year kicks off tomorrow and finds me mostly ready.

Attitude Of Gratitude

The thankful receiver bears a plentiful harvest. ~William Blake

It’s time to celebrate our attitudes of gratitude and remember all the great things that have come our way this year.

To be sure, there are some challenges that we’ve had to wrangle with, but we can be grateful that we’ve come through them largely unscathed.

For my part, I’m enjoying 30 years of marriage to the most wonderful woman alive. I’m gainfully employed and I even have my LLC.

I actually got started on Merry 🔔 Bells early enough to be written up to early December. Not as far as I’d hoped, but farther than I usually am.

Some things could be better, but every coin has two sides.

All things considered, life is pretty good and I have plenty to be thankful for. I hope you feel the same.

Let The Specials Roll 🎬

Vintage Thanksgiving Music

To be honest, I only ever thought of “Over The River And Through The Woods” as far as Thanksgiving songs. Fortunately, there are people like the creator of the video above who are able to dig a bit deeper. Not sure that I consider every single song as a specifically Thanksgiving-related tune, but it’s cool anyway.

Along with the holiday shopping season that begins immediately after Thanksgiving Dinner, a rich history of holiday specials are available to help to make the season bright.

Back in the days before on-demand, streaming content, we had to check the TV Guide to see which channel would be showing our favorite shows.

Nowadays, you can watch whatever you want whenever you want. That’s fantastic, but a lot of people like to save things for due season.

Even so, we’re still blessed to be able to start the show when we’re ready to watch it instead of planning our evenings around the TV Guide. That’s progress I can be truly thankful for…

The Problem Is

All children are artists. The problem is how to remain an artist once he grows up. ~Pablo Picasso

It’s tough remaining creative when the cares of daily life are weighing you down.

Even though I had a lovely, restful vacation away last week, work packed quite a wallop this week.

I’m completely drained. I’ve got absolutely nothing left in the tank right now.

That being the case, I’m going to go to bed and recharge my batteries because I have a lot of words to write this weekend.

I’m a bit irritated that I had to backtrack three days’ worth, but it was rambling. I’ve got to get it back on track and add some dramatic tension.

That’s tomorrow.

Today, I’m tired. Good night and God Bless.

I wish you a jolly holiday season and hope you can follow along with this year’s Holiday Season Serial Romance.
