🍨 We All Scream 🍦

There’s nothing sweeter than a happy wife, so I got her some nice birthday presents in hopes of making her day. She seemed pleased, so that’s another Happy πŸŽˆπŸŽ‚πŸŽ‰ Birthday delivered…

Sweet Reminiscence

My love for ice cream emerged at an early age – and has never left! ~Ginger Rogers

Oh, Ginger, I’m so in your lane.

I have freely admitted to a lifelong sweet tooth, but ice cream is an automatic winner.

So much, in fact, that ice cream is reportedly my first inspiration for flat-out running.

My mom has often said that she feared I may actually be crippled until Dairy Dan rolled down Noble Street.

Literary Ice Cream Sundaes

Perhaps summer’s ephemeral nature is what inspires us to embrace the beach read. We tell ourselves that these twisted plots and wild characters are literary ice cream sundaes – extravagant treats that aren’t as calorie-laden when we’re wearing flip flops. ~Sarah MacLean

As much as I detest 🌞 Summer πŸ”₯, it is unquestionably casual reading season.

The image of people parked under a beach umbrella with a good book, peeking overtop to keep an eye on their kids, is timeless.

Maybe there’s a device I’m not aware of, but my experience is that a bright seasonal sun defeats screens by default, so paper for the win.

Whether flipping paper pages or swiping digital ones, people will find some escapist enjoyment wandering through someone else’s imagination for a while.

To me, that’s as sweet as any well-designed sundae.

The fact that people are still reading for fun encourages me, as my Sentinels Chronicle approaches the half-million word threshold.

That’s all for today. See you back on Wednesday for πŸ₯΅β™¨οΈπŸ«
