Finally Fall 26

Happy 😁 Harvest 🧺 Hump 🐫 Day! We have finally crossed the great divide into my favorite season, and I’m eagerly looking forward to the glorious autumn colors my rural region never fails to deliver…

🎼 Its The Most Colorful Time Of The Year! 🎢

Autumn is a second spring when every leaf is a flower. ~Albert Camus

In all of its resplendent beauty, a weary world heads into a festive evening of the year.

πŸ‚AutumnπŸ‚ isn’t merely the light fading from 🌞 summertime πŸ”₯.

It’s a seemingly nonstop party until the world freezes up into a ❄️ long Winters nap ❄️ in January.

With a constant stream of lovely holidays right through New Year’s and Epiphany, we’re not only looking fabulous, but we’re feeling festive too πŸ₯³.

This was the best time to go back to school because you had seasonal crafts and accordion-paper pumpkins.

The world just feels right because you can be comfy in your clothes and enjoy your cider chilled or mulled.

There’s a marvelous stretch of cozy vibeΒ when the damn bugs go back to sleep and we wait for the frivolity of Christmastime.

πŸƒ Equinox πŸ‚

Vivaldi Autumn The Four Seasons

Equal night” is the literal meaning of equinox, from the Latin aequus (equal) and nox (night).

It signals the midpoints of maximum daytime and maximum nighttime.

Between the solstices, when the direction of sunlight pivots and reverses, the equinox is that midpoint between pivots where you get roughly half and half.

We cruise gently into longer nights, cooler breezes and trees so colorful you think you’re looking at a giant pot of mums.

Most importantly, Bob gets it…

πŸ‚ My Season At Last ✍🏻

Delicious autumn! My very soul is wedded to it, and if I were a bird I would fly about the earth seeking the successive autumns. ~George Eliot

So, it’s small wonder I find this time of year so engaging.

I’m not sweating my ass off anymore.

I don’t have to worry about ants crawling all over the damn desk.

I can step outside without winding up with the ability to perceive my retinal pattern overlaid on reality because it’s so ludicrously bright out.

I want evenings. I want warm beverages. I want long freakin’ pants.

This is my season and Indian Summer can go pound sand.

Give me cool temps, long nights for writing and a steady stream of holidays to enjoy.

Welcome, πŸ‚AutumnπŸ‚, you’ve fallen in right when I need you most.

Writing-wise, I’m auditing my Sentinels Chronicle and am getting started on Dennis and Niki’s Holiday Season Serial Romance.

More notes on those as they proceed. For now, progress is progressing…

That’s all for today. See you back on Saturday for πŸƒπŸ§‘πŸπŸ€ŽπŸŸ‘πŸ‚
