Sumptuous Squash Soup
Something I’m really looking forward to this weekend is some rich, soul-warming squash soup. I got a pint of the Panera stuff from the Walmart and it’s finally time to dig in…

Whether you make a soup or if you turn the squash into cubes or mash as a side, squash is a delicious and versatile collection of fruit.
Fruit, you say? Why yes!
Pumpkins, Turkish turbans, acorn squash, butternut squash, spaghetti squash, zucchini, yellow squash and various others grow on vines or bushes.
The look, the flavors, the sizes all vary splendidly and you can use them as sides for dinner or even pies, cookies and cakes.
The best thing?
It’s all available in glorious abundance practically feet away from my front door.
All the farm stands, grocery stores and even Walmarts are chock full of colorful, flavor-rich mountains of glorious squash.
We are genuinely blessed here in the –ber months.

⛅ Sun Melts Down
And the sun of September melts down on his vines. ~John Greenleaf Whittier — The Pumpkin
We’re rapidly running out of October, so I’m doubling down on the process of getting this year’s Holiday Season Serial Romance done and ready to read.
Fortunately, I have five episodes of One Little Thing 💍 done, so that actually gets me to December 1st as far as a writing window.
There are other infrastructural matters being worked on at the same time, so I’m really trying to make the most of my No Monday Policy while it’s in force.
There’s plenty to do, so I’m going to get back to it…

That’s all for today. See you back on Wednesday for 🎃🟢🎃🟡🟡🟡
