We’re past the 380th day of “14 Days to Flatten the Curve” and we’re still wondering when that shit’s going to flatten already.

Ch-ch-ch-changes

All change is not growth, as all movement is not forward. ~Ellen Glasgow

Yeah, hooray, I’ve acquired another life-threatening condition and I’m making a lot of changes in the way I go about my day.

Food’s different. Schedule’s different. Everything’s different.

It has to be. Just as well. At least the changes are changes for the better even if the cause is a tremendous change for the worse.

Whatever.

If a minivan can’t kill me, Neither will the disease du jour.

Changes were needed and now they’re happening.

It’s just one of those miscellaneous days, y’know? I’ve been busy all day and I’ll be pretty busy the rest of the week.

Figured I’d share some focus and chill music for you in case you’re busy, too.

My hand is the extension of the thinking process – the creative process. ~Tadao Ando

I kind of wish somebody would have come up with a direct neural interface by now. Of course, that’s incredibly unsafe but it would be convenient as heck.

If I could think directly to the screen instead of having to type, I could cause problems at about 10x the speed and volume. Coding straight from my stream of thought would be messy beyond imagining and storytelling straight to the screen would be insanely convoluted.

Okay, let’s not do that then.

Hitting it the old-fashioned way is second nature to me since I had the benefit of having learned typing back in high school. I can still hear the refrain, “Hands on Home Row” to begin a session of practice typing.

Thanks to that, the magic generally flows straight from my brain and out of my fingers. Being able to lay it out on the page without even thinking about the process of typing is almost like a direct neural interface. I think and the fingers do the work automatically. There’s no conscious effort in it.

That’s a serious timesaver for somebody who is preposterously busy.

The logjam typically takes place between my ears. Knowing what I actually want to say next is far more of a barrier than committing it to the page.

That’s a discussion for another day, though. I’m way, way, way too busy to get into that right now.

That’s all for today. C’mon man! I told you I was busy. Plenty to do and no time or energy to do it. Hope you’re doing better than me.
