Autumn Begins On Thursday?

Today is starting off splendidly. It’s so rainy, gloomy and grey. The trees are turning and the leaves are tumbling like the melancholy raindrops. If only it could stay that way…

I Don’t Like False Starts

I was waiting for Autumn in full expectation of it being Autumn, but NOOOOOOOOO… We got an extra two weeks of Summer heat nonsense.

I was waiting for Pumpkin Spice SPAM® to hit the shelves, but NOOOOOOOOO… Apparently, it sold out instantaneously and Hormel didn’t think to put a buy button on their website.

I was waiting for the prednisone to put a complete and final end to this costochondritis, but NOOOOOOOOO… I’m lucky enough to need another month of it. By then, Autumn will be in full swing (barring a bit of Indian Summer that I can totally do without).

Two steps forward and one step back is not my idea of progress…

I Love A Rainy Day

My kind of day…

Today, however, is absolutely lovely. It’s overcast and cool. Just the kind of weather to make me forget the oppressive summer heat and enjoy just being alive.

Well, there’s more to life than sitting around enjoying it. I’ve got work to do and plenty of it.

I’ve gotten started on my Holiday RomCom. The main characters are riding the Adirondak Rail line from Upstate New York to the city. Christmas in September went live on the 25th, as scheduled. I’m retooling the mailing list to announce the monthly blog posts and daily story scenes.

The Sentinels are celebrating their colleague’s new official status with a surprise party in her quarters. The members of the Conclave are planning a surprise party of their own but it’s not going to be very much fun for our heroes.

The articles for the five crucial factors of survival are live on Pioneer Skill Set. The Pinterest board has some interesting pins and the YouTube channel has a new Season 2 trailer. The Pioneer Skill Set Trading Post will be going live very soon. I’ve had some technical issues that I wanted to figure out but I think I’ve got a solution that will let me go live in the short term. That being the case, Christmas Shopping All The Time will likewise soon be live.

Nerdlightenment, Paid to Pretend, Permanent Payday and Nichyssoise are on the back burner until I get some of the current projects completed.

Rainy days make me happy…

What I REALLY love…

It is an extra dividend when you like the girl you’ve fallen in love with. ~Clark Gable

What I really love is getting to snuggle up with my beautiful wife. The weather hasn’t been conducive for snuggling for quite some time now. Even though the days have continued to be summery hot, the evenings have been almost pleasantly cool. As such, it’s a lot easier to let Kelly put her head on my shoulder while we watch silly TV shows before bed.

I like it. I love it. I want some more of it…

That’s all for this gloomy Saturday afternoon. I hope you’re enjoying your weekend as much as I am.
