December At Last
Yes, friends, it’s the first day of the last month. Time to get your Christmas spirit on. Bake those cookies and jingle those bells.
‘Tis The Season
Christmas is a season for kindling the fire for hospitality in the hall, the genial flame of charity in the heart. ~Washington Irving
It’s finally, officially, my favorite time of the year. Not only is it 🍂 Autumn 🍂 but it is also the yuletide season of jolly, sweet excess. Christmas music, Christmas specials, Christmas cookies, Christmas movies, Christmas All The Time!
Kelly has been busily making the transition from plain ol’ Chez Knowlan to super-festive Holiday Homestead.
Plasticville is popping up all over the tops of cabinets. Holiday colors and decor is beginning to sneak around the corners of the household. Kelly even played Christmas music while she helped Connor baking cookies for his Friendsgiving visit.
🎅🏼 Me? 🎄
I just keep trudging quietly along. I’ve got work to do and I’m too busy doing it to worry about much else.
So, much like the couple in A Visit From St. Nicolas, I’m quite ready for a long winter’s nap.
Santa Claus has the right idea – visit people only once a year. ~Victor Borge
Burgomeister Meisterburger!
Santa Claus is Coming to town (1970)
Here’s one of my all-time favorites. All the silly little incidental songs and the cheerful optimism in the face of a miserable little dictator bring a smile to my face. If only it were that easy anymore…
Not That Easy
Everyone has a story to tell. All you have to do is write it. But it’s not that easy. ~Frank McCourt
Not that easy but not impossible. I’m currently 42.43% done with Holly and Ivy. It’s staged and scheduled through the 12th.
As for The Sentinels, that’s going to take a bit of an epiphany.
After a week off, I’m pretty well behind on day job stuff. I can’t really split my brain between catching up on that and getting the Holiday Season Serial Romance done on schedule.
I’m tired and that’s all the more I have to say today. I hope you’re having a lovely Christmas season.
