As I wade back into the deep waters of the Sentinelsverse, I’m taking what I’ve been learning about the writing process to try to make my characters more relatable and believable.

The scope of the series is about 15 years, so the new kid in the first book is going to be an old hand in the last book. Mary’s best friend from before the series begins is already dealing with her post-heroic life issues. Little kids who are fans will become feature players later in the series.

I’ve got the rough sketches of all this from previous iterations of the story but it’s time to put it all together in a coherent literary form.

Of course, I also need to get on with this year’s CaðT content and I’ve been devoting more than a little downtime to formulating things in Auringia. I haven’t even got an inkling of what I want to do with the Far-Flung Reaches yet…

Ah, so much to do and so little time. Good thing it’s only February.
